These comments address building issues only, additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 1994 Uniform Building Code, as amended by the State of Washington and /or Washington State Energy Code 1995 Edition, unless stated otherwise. In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings reflecting the corrections requested. 1. Provide Energy Code compliance forms showing how the addition complies with the requirements of the Wa. State Energy Code (WSEC). Indicate if house is heated with electricity or other fuel type. 2. Provide 110 volt smoke detector with battery back-up in den and in family room. 3. Provide battery operated smoke detectors in all sleeping rooms and in the corridor or area giving access to each separate sleeping area. 4. All doors are required to have a floor or landing on both sides. Provide min. 36" landing not more than 8"below the finished floor at sliding glass door. 5.
