The property is on City sewers.
2. There are similar buildings and similar requests that have
been allowed in the area.
3. There will be no undue hardships to the immediate vicinity
and all City requirements will be met.
Mrs. Lynn Price of Tract 9 and Mr. Norm Young of 1505 63rd were
opposed to the granting of the variance. They feel there are
enough duplexes in the area now.
Mr. Reid Shockey read a letter of opposition from Mr. & Mrs.
Young of 1511 63rd. Their main objection was also the density
of duplexes in the vicinity.
After visually observing the property and considering the facts
and testimony, it was moved by Mr. Russell seconded by Mr. Black
and unanimously carried to grant the applicant's request for the
following reasons:
1. The applicant's request is similar to variances that have
been granted in the past.
2. The area is zoned for duplexes so the subject of this dis-
cussion must be limited to access, not the need or desirabi-
lity of duplexes.
3. There is sufficient square footage being provided.
A hearing was held on the application of William & Mary Johnson;
Post Office Box 1546, Everett, Washington, for a variance from
Section 19.14.020 E.C.C.
