REPAIR SPE�_FICATIONS AND LIST OF WM, PO BE BID <br />Page 1 of 9 <br />Address: 231 74th St. <br />1. <br />2. <br />3 <br />FOUNDATION WORK <br />Lift the kitchen floor to a "reasonable level" and set <br />on new concrete block foundation (or solid concrete) <br />wall on a 12" x 6" (minimum) concrete footing. <br />Contractor to run the new foundation along the south and <br />west sides of the kitchen and tie into existing <br />foundation. Place steel bars in new foundation to <br />code. Install a pressure treated foundation sill plate <br />anchored to new foundation. In the same area, replace <br />the east -west girder under the kitchen floor from the <br />west foundation wall over to the first post -concrete <br />pier. <br />Install a moisture separation (90 lb. roofing is <br />permitted by Code) between the foundation wood posts and <br />the tops of the concrete piers throughout the house <br />crawl area. <br />Basement room. Level up the ground and place a 3 1/2" <br />thick (minimum)• concrete floor slab over a 6 mil. <br />plastic ground cover. Add a screened floor drain (with <br />trap and vent) tying into the house waste line and <br />sloping floor towards drain opening. <br />All new work called out in this item shall be performed <br />in compliance with the requirements of the Uniform <br />Building Code, 1985 edition. <br />VINYL SIDING AND GUTTERS <br />Siding: Repair badly worn and broken shingle siding <br />around the entire house. The contractor shall allow for <br />the replacement of two squares of shingles. Owner will <br />paint. <br />Gutters: Remove all existing gutters and downspouts and <br />install 5" K style continuous aluminum gutters and <br />downspouts to all roof areas of the house. Complete <br />gutter installation by adding concrete splashblocks to <br />new downspouts directing roof water away from the <br />building. Color of new gutters to be selected by the <br />owner. <br />$ / yD <br />INTERIOR DEMOLITION AND FRAMING <br />Frame in new 2" x 4" (16" centers) walls and remove <br />other walls as indicated on the attacheJ drawings. Cut <br />in new openings for new doors as indicated. <br />Remove the short wall along the south side of the fridge <br />and add in a new fir beam up tight against the kitchen <br />ceiling pulling up the sagging area. New beam to be a <br />4" x 10" D.F. N2 or better and posted down at each end <br />to the foundation below. New posts to be hidden in the <br />kitchen east and west walls. New beam to be covered <br />with sheetrock. <br />All new work in this item shall be performed in <br />compliance with the requirements of the Uniform Building <br />Code, 1985 edition. <br />
