REPAIR SPE�_FICATIONS AND LIST OF WM, PO BE BID Page 1 of 9 Address: 231 74th St. 1. 2. 3 FOUNDATION WORK Lift the kitchen floor to a "reasonable level" and set on new concrete block foundation (or solid concrete) wall on a 12" x 6" (minimum) concrete footing. Contractor to run the new foundation along the south and west sides of the kitchen and tie into existing foundation. Place steel bars in new foundation to code. Install a pressure treated foundation sill plate anchored to new foundation. In the same area, replace the east -west girder under the kitchen floor from the west foundation wall over to the first post -concrete pier. Install a moisture separation (90 lb. roofing is permitted by Code) between the foundation wood posts and the tops of the concrete piers throughout the house crawl area. Basement room. Level up the ground and place a 3 1/2" thick (minimum)• concrete floor slab over a 6 mil. plastic ground cover. Add a screened floor drain (with trap and vent) tying into the house waste line and sloping floor towards drain opening. All new work called out in this item shall be performed in compliance with the requirements of the Uniform Building Code, 1985 edition. VINYL SIDING AND GUTTERS Siding: Repair badly worn and broken shingle siding around the entire house. The contractor shall allow for the replacement of two squares of shingles. Owner will paint. Gutters: Remove all existing gutters and downspouts and install 5" K style continuous aluminum gutters and downspouts to all roof areas of the house. Complete gutter installation by adding concrete splashblocks to new downspouts directing roof water away from the building. Color of new gutters to be selected by the owner. $ / yD INTERIOR DEMOLITION AND FRAMING Frame in new 2" x 4" (16" centers) walls and remove other walls as indicated on the attacheJ drawings. Cut in new openings for new doors as indicated. Remove the short wall along the south side of the fridge and add in a new fir beam up tight against the kitchen ceiling pulling up the sagging area. New beam to be a 4" x 10" D.F. N2 or better and posted down at each end to the foundation below. New posts to be hidden in the kitchen east and west walls. New beam to be covered with sheetrock. All new work in this item shall be performed in compliance with the requirements of the Uniform Building Code, 1985 edition.
