EXHIBIT A
SCOPE OF WORK
f. Evaluate pile axial (and lateral) capacity, down drag and settlement performance
based on an additional pile size compared to the current 16-inch diameter shown
in the existing Phase 7 Geotechnical Report. This subtask will be necessary if the
IBC design parameters support a larger(than 16-inch)pile.
2. Update existing Phase 7 Geotechnical Report. Prepare an updated report based on •
seismic parameters to meet the 2009 IBC documents using applicable existing
information from the original Phase 7 Geotechnical Report. Relevant existing
information from the 2005 report includes: site conditions, geotechnical data, ground
water conditions, pile driving methods and equipment, and soil corrosivity conditions.
Eight (8) paper copies of a draft report and eight (8) paper copies of the final report will
be provided to the City.
3. Document review. The geotechnical subconsultant will review the "95 percent"
submittal of the plans and specifications to confirm consistency with the geotechnical
design recommendations.
Task 5. Permit Assistance
At the direction of the City, the Engineer will provide limited engineering support for permitting
services as described herein. It is understood that the City will take the lead role in obtaining
permit extensions or new permits for the project as necessary, based upon previously obtained
permits. This task addresses the following:
1. Evaluate existing project permits status. Update the list of all existing project permits
and approval/expiration dates.
2. Provide engineering support to the City, as requested, for permitre-application and
extension. Due to the difficulty in anticipating potential agency issues and review
requirements for obtaining updated or replacement permits, the scope of this task is
limited to the hours identified in the budget. Project permits obtained for the Phase 7
project in 2005 are identified in Table 1..
Table 1
Permit/Approval/Notification Agency
1.
