EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF WORK 3 The following additional structural drawings will be included and added to the original Contract Drawings: Drawing No. Description Structural S-5 Pile Bent FPC and PCC Connection Sections and Details S-6 Type III Pile Bent Sections Plans will be prepared in 22" x 34" format for reduction to 11" x 17" document format for use during design reviews and bidding. 3. Final Specifications. Update the final technical specifications, bidding and contract documents, all referred to as Contract Documents, required for the work based on revisions similar to those made to the 2008 Phase 6 bid specifications and the following: • Applicable April 2005 bid addenda items from Addenda 1 through 3. • Review and incorporate into the Phase 7 design applicable Phase 6, 2008 Addenda items. • Applicable design modifications similar to those from the previous Phase 6 construction project identified within RFI's, and CDC's. • Incorporate 2010 structural design modifications based on 2009 IBC requirements. • Additional or revised permitting conditions (if required) • Update project contract bidding forms using current City version. • Update project contract front end documents including general conditions, etc. • Update project technical specifications. 4. Review with City. Attend a review meeting with City staff at the 95 percent level of completion. Review comments received from the City and other permitting/approval agencies will be included in the 100% Bidding/Contract Documents for the project. Should the 100% Contract Documents fail to be consistent with the professional standard of care in the industry, Engineer shall make the necessary corrections to the Bidding/Contract Documents at no additional cost. 5. Design Meetings. Coordinate and conduct status meetings with City staff during final design. Meetings will include attendance by Project Manager and Project Engineer staff; it is assumed all meetings will be held at the City's offices. Up to four meetings will be scheduled for the following purposes: one design meeting, two permitting meetings and the 95%review meeting. 6. Final Contract Documents. Produce final Bidding/Contract Documents including reduced plans and technical specifications suitable for bidding purposes. A single bid package is assumed for this project. A single full size unbound bid-ready set of the Bidding/Contract Documents (signed paper originals of drawings and specifications) will be provided to the City.
