EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Task 7. Opinion of Probable Construction Cost <br /> Opinion of Probable Construction Cost. Prepare an Opinion of Probable Construction Cost at <br /> the 95% design completion level to accompany the construction documents submittals. The cost <br /> opinion will be prepared following the AACE International Recommended Practice No. 17R-97: <br /> Cost Estimate Classification System and Recommend Practice No. 18R-97: Cost Estimate <br /> Classification System — as Applied in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction for the <br /> Process Industries. Estimating services are provided with the City's acknowledgement that other <br /> than Consultant's good faith performance of the services, Consultant has no control over costs of <br /> labor, materials, competitive bidding environments and procedures, unknown field conditions, <br /> financial and/or market conditions or other factors affecting the cost of the construction and the <br /> operation of the facilities, all of which are beyond Consultant's control and are unavoidably in a <br /> state of change. Consultant cannot and does not make any warranty, promise, or representation, <br /> either express or implied that proposals, bids, opinions of probable construction costs, or cost of <br /> operation or maintenance will not vary substantially from probable cost estimates. Cost opinions <br /> will be prepared in accordance with AACE Estimate Class 2 at the 95%design level. <br /> Task 8. Bidding Assistance <br /> 1. Respond to questions received from prospective bidders during the bid period. <br /> 2. Attend a pre-bid conference. <br /> 3. During the bidding period prepare addenda items determined necessary to clarify or correct <br /> the Contract Documents in response to questions received from Bidders by telephone and <br /> at the pre-bid conference. <br /> 4. Review and analyze bids received, prepare a bid tabulation summary, and prepare a letter <br /> of recommendation for award of the contract. <br /> 5. The City will distribute Contract Documents and addenda through an electronic web <br /> posting service. <br /> SERVICES DURING CONSTRUCTION & UNDEFINED SERVICES <br /> Task 9. Construction Management Services <br /> Construction Management Services are to be added by supplemental agreement at a later date. <br /> Task 10.
