EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Since the number of submittals re-submittals and substitutions to be reviewed is <br /> undefined, the scope is limited to a maximum of 122 hours for Office Engineer time <br /> to review up to 35 Construction Contractor's submittals. <br /> d. Interpretation and Clarification of Contract Documents. Provide requested <br /> clarification and interpretation of the contract plans and specifications. Receive, log <br /> and provide written response to formal Requests for Clarification (RFC's) received <br /> from the Construction Contractor. Provide the City with copies of RFC's and <br /> responses. A total of 92 Office Engineer hours of effort are budgeted. <br /> e. Progress Payment Requests. Review Construction Contractor's monthly progress <br /> payment requests, including preparation of Engineer's recommendations and submit <br /> to the City for approval and payment. A total of thirteen (13) monthly progress <br /> payment requests are budgeted. <br /> f. Weekly Job Site Meetings. Prepare agenda and conduct weekly job meetings with <br /> Construction Contractor to review the progress of the work and identify and address <br /> field problems as they occur. Reports of any significant concerns and problems will <br /> be recorded and forwarded to the City. Prepare meeting summary and transmit to the <br /> City and attendees. To support the field staff, 64 hours are budgeted for the Office <br /> Engineer to attend sixteen(16) weekly job site meetings. <br /> g. Monitor Construction Contractor Construction Schedule. Monitor Construction <br /> Contractor's compliance with construction schedule based upon monthly CPM <br /> updates submitted by the Construction Contractor. Assist the City in verification, <br /> documentation, and/or negotiation of time extensions requested by the Construction <br /> Contractor. Evaluate potential schedule impacts of change order work. <br /> h. Maintain Files. Maintain hard copy and electronic records and files at the job site. <br /> These records and files shall include: <br /> • Correspondence <br /> • Submittals <br /> • Requests for Clarifications (RFC's) <br /> • Change Orders <br /> • Daily reports <br /> • Preconstruction and construction progress photos and videotapes <br /> • Maintain complete set of updated contract documents including drawings, <br /> addenda, proposal, general provisions, special provisions, shop drawings and <br /> change orders <br /> • Test reports <br /> • Survey notes including cut sheets (as provided by the Construction Contractor) <br /> • Transmittal records <br /> • Record of weather and wet days <br /> • Construction Contractor payment requests and prevailing wage certifications <br /> • Shop drawing transmittal records <br /> MWH Page 9 EVERETT PHASE 7 <br /> 8/12/10 EXHIBIT A—SCOPE OF WORK <br /> 38 <br />
