EXHIBIT A <br /> 4 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> suggested response to Design Consultant and Owner for review or transmit to Design <br /> Consultant and/or Owner for review and comment. Track requests and send responses to <br /> Contractor upon completion of review. If contract revisions are required as a result of the <br /> clarification prepare, log and track documentation for the change. <br /> 2.5 Changed and/or Extra Work. Develop and maintain files and a log of changed and extra <br /> work requested by City of Everett, Design Engineer or Contractor. Issue documentation for <br /> tracking and negotiating costs and time impacts of changed and extra work. Prepare <br /> documentation of negotiated time extensions, added or deleted costs for official signature <br /> by the designated signatory for Contractor and City of Everett. Assist in preparation of <br /> Change Orders to be presented to City of Everett City Council. <br /> 2.6 Progress Payment Requests. Review and maintain a file of Contractor's monthly <br /> progress payment requests following approval of each by City of Everett Field <br /> Representative. <br /> 2.7 Construction Coordination/Progress Meetings. Prepare agenda and conduct regularly <br /> scheduled project coordination meetings (one per week or less as project dictates)with City <br /> of Everett, Contractor, and as needed sub-contractors, suppliers and/or design engineer to <br /> review the progress of the work and identify and address field problems as they occur. <br /> Minutes of the meetings will be recorded and forwarded to Design Engineer, Owner, and <br /> Contractor. <br /> 2.8 Contractor Claims or Protests. Monitor the project for potential claims or protests by <br /> Contractor. Advise Design Engineer and Owner of potential claims. Maintain separate <br /> files for potential claims. Prepare and log documentation for contract changes for <br /> negotiation and signature by Contractor and City of Everett Project Manager. Draft <br /> responses to Claims or Protests filed by Contractor for City of Everett Project Manager's <br /> review for revisions and signature. <br /> 2.9 Monitor Contractor's Progress Schedule. Monitor Contractor's compliance with <br /> construction schedule based upon monthly CPM updates submitted by Contractor. Assist <br /> Design Engineer and Owner in verification,documentation, and/or negotiation of time <br /> extensions requested by Contractor. Evaluate potential schedule impacts of all change <br /> order work. <br /> 2.10 Action Item/Progressive Punch List. Develop, log, and maintain a progressive list of <br /> action items needing attention by Contractor, Design Engineer or Owner to help keep <br /> project on schedule.
