Provide survey mapping at 1" = 20' scale for ANSI D, 22" x 34" size drawings.
Show all topographic data that was collected: right-of-way, centerline, property
boundaries, easements, and City-provided GIS data, 2-foot contour intervals
(with major contour lines at 10-foot intervals). Field verify street addresses.
Coordinate with City of Everett CAD manager for drawing templates and drawing
setup. Submit the first survey base map version electronically for City review to
determine design conformance with City Standards (sheet size, layout, layer
conventions, line types, etc.). Consolidate survey and mapping information in the
Survey Binder as outlined in the City CAD and Survey Standards.
5. Create City of Everett Prototype Standards for project use.
D. Geotechnical Engineering Services
1. Work with subconsultant, GeoEngineers, to obtain soil and groundwater data by
auger borings (maximum depth of 10 feet assumed, up to 6 borings). Provide
two additional borings near potential jacking pit locations along 3rd Avenue SE,
south of 41st Street; these borings are planned to be 25 feet deep to provide
adequate information for shoring design. This subtask will include researching
local soils data, obtaining permits for drilling, procuring the services of a drilling
company, traffic control, installing a piezometer in one of the deeper borings for
subsequent groundwater monitoring, and up to four site visits to perform
groundwater level monitoring.
2. Contract with GeoEngineers to provide soils report including boring logs,
laboratory test results (moisture content, maximum density, particle size
distribution, corrosion potential), and recommendations (backfill, mitigation of
unsuitable soils, excavation and temporary slopes, erosion control, and
dewatering as needed). The report will also contain recommendations relating to
the boring/jacking operation.
Deliverables:
• Two hard copies of draft soils report for review by City
• Two hard copies and one electronic copy of final soils report
E. Preliminary Design
1. Collect and review data provided by the City, including GIS and mapping data,
record plans, and electronic templates.
2. Check for potential utility conflicts based on utility field locates, utility as-built
drawings, and survey information.
30
