2 <br /> Prepare Conceptual Design for Urban Amenities. Working with City staff and the design team <br /> led by TranTech and Perteet to perform the following tasks: <br /> 1. Conduct site review <br /> 2. Meet with Staff and Consultant Team to discuss opportunities, constraints and ideas. <br /> (Follow-up with selected Staff and team members may be necessary) <br /> 3. Participate in public open house and solicit input. <br /> 4. Prepare concepts for consideration and incorporation into 30% design level submittal. <br /> Assumptions:- - -- — <br /> • City will organize the Open Houses and publicize and arrange for the meetings and <br /> presentations. <br /> TASK 6: UTILITIES COORDINATION &DESIGN <br /> This Task will be performed by TranTech's subconsultant Murray, Smith& Associates, Inc. <br /> (MSA) to provide utilities coordination and design services for the Project. <br /> MSA will perform preliminary design services for a water main relocation and potentially <br /> multiple utility improvements associated with the replacement of the Broadway Bridge crossing <br /> between Hewitt Avenue and California Street. <br /> The proposed improvements currently consist of replacing approximately 500 feet of 12-inch <br /> diameter cast iron water main with ductile iron piping and necessary appurtenances including, <br /> but not limited to, isolation valves,tie-in connections and services. In addition, MSA will <br /> perform Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) services by coordinating with electrical power, <br /> telecommunication, fiber optics and natural gas utilities located within the project corridor and <br /> potentially impacted by the bridge replacement work. This work will include compiling data, <br /> resolving conflicts and, as necessary, incorporating utility improvements in to the preliminary <br /> design. It is anticipated that there will be no improvements associated with the sanitary sewer <br /> and Perteet,Inc. will take the lead in designing the stormwater drainage facilities. <br /> For the purpose of developing this scope and fee, final design, bidding and construction support <br /> services will not be included during Phase I and are anticipated to be addressed prior to the <br /> submittal of the preliminary design package. It is anticipated that final PS&E design, bidding <br /> and construction services will be completed under Phase II. <br /> The Task consists of the following subtasks: <br /> A.
