5. Failed to meet any of the qualifications <br /> listed in Section 13 of this ordinance. <br /> C. Any applicant whose for-hire vehicle driver's <br /> license is rejected may appeal by filing written notice <br /> with the parking hearing examiner within ten working <br /> days from the date the notice of rejection is sent by <br /> the city. The parking hearing examiner may exercise <br /> its discretion in granting or renewing such license. <br /> be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Driver's License - Application investigation - Issuance <br /> or nonissuance. <br /> A. The chief of police shall review the application <br /> for a for-hire vehicle driver's license and determine <br /> whether the applicant meets the requirements of this <br /> chapter. If the chief of police determines that the <br /> for-hire vehicle driver's license should be issued or <br /> renewed, a license may thereupon be issued to the <br /> applicant which shall be in such form as to contain the <br /> photograph and signature of the licensee. For-hire <br /> vehicles driver's licenses shall expire on July 31st of <br /> each year. If the chief of police determines that a <br /> for-hire vehicle driver's license should not be issued <br /> or renewed, the city clerk thereof shall be notified <br /> setting forth the reasons for such rejection. <br /> B. A license will be denied to any person if the city <br /> clerk finds: <br /> 1 . That the applicant has made any false <br /> statement in his/her application; <br /> 2 . That the applicant had a conviction or bail <br /> forfeiture in accordance with those identified in <br /> Section 13 (A) (5) of this ordinance; <br /> 3 . That the applicant has been found to have <br /> exhibited past conduct in driving or operating a for- <br /> hire vehicle which would lead the chief of police to <br /> reasonably conclude that the applicant will not comply <br /> with the provisions of this chapter related to <br /> driver/operator conduct or the safe operation of the <br /> vehicle; <br /> 4 . That the applicant has been found to have <br /> exhibited a past driving record which would lead the <br /> chief of police to reasonably conclude that the <br /> 2 <br />
