• 6 <br /> Task 8 B-2 Construction Administration (New Task) <br /> The purpose of this task is providing assistance to the City for Construction Administration for <br /> Construction Contract B-2. This will include the review of shop drawings, response to RFIs, <br /> periodic site visits and other services as requested by the City. This construction contract will <br /> include: <br /> • Removal of Screw Pump No. 4 and regrouting of the unit. <br /> • Modifications to Screw Pump Nos. 1, 2 and 3. <br /> • Removal and replacement of 10 sluice gates. <br /> • Concrete repair within the Headworks structure. <br /> • Replacement of all grit piping and grit pumps. <br /> • Painting of the exterior of the Headworks Structure. <br /> • Removal and replacement of exterior lights. <br /> • Installation of nine Internal Joint seals in 36 and 48-inch TFE piping. <br /> • Structural modifications at the FEN Pump Station. <br /> • Sliplining of two existing 54"diameter submerged concrete pipes. <br /> • Placement of fill material to Preload the site for the proposed digesters. <br /> The anticipated schedule is as follows: <br /> Advertise —January 18, 2011 <br /> Bid Opening — February 15, 2011 <br /> NTP— March 29, 2011 (estimated) <br /> Milestone 1 — Inlet Channel Shutdown —Completed by August 15, 2011 <br /> Milestone 2— Headworks Shutdown —Completed by October 15, 2011 <br /> Milestone 3 — Preload —Completed between July 1, 2011 and September 15, 2011 <br /> Substantial Completion —within 240 calendar days of NTP <br /> Final Completion—within 270 calendar days of NTP <br /> 8.1 Engineer's Responsibilities <br /> 1. Review of Shop Drawings based on the following: <br /> • Division 1 — 2 submittals <br /> • Division 2— 10 submittals (includes Schedule B Preload) <br /> • Division 3 — 2 submittals <br /> • Division 8 — 1 submittal <br /> • Division 9 — 2 submittal <br /> • Division 11 - 4 submittals <br /> • Division 13 — 2 submittals <br /> • Division 15 — 12 submittals (Includes HVAC system) <br /> • Division 16 — 6 submittals <br /> The budget estimate is based on approximately 6 hours per shop drawing and 40% of <br /> the shop drawings requiring one resubmittal. Shop drawings that are not requested to <br /> be reviewed by the Engineer will be provided to the Engineer to be"Filed for Record". <br /> 2. Respond to the City's request to evaluate Contractors Request for Information (RFIs). <br /> The budget is based on responding to 30 RFIs. <br /> 3.
