EVERETT CITY COUNCIL AGENDA ITEM COVER SHEET i t
PROJECT TITLE:
Snohomish County HOME Briefing COUNCIL BILL#
Consortium Interlocal Proposed Action Originating Department Planning
Cooperation Agreement with Consent Contact Person Dave Koenig
Snohomish County and the Action Phone Number 425-257-8736
City of Marysville for Program First Reading FOR AGENDA OF 8/31/11
Years 2012 through 2014 Second Reading
Third Reading
Public Hearing
Budget Advisory Initialed by:
Department Head {{_
CAA 1P
Council President
Location Preceding Action Attachments Department(s)Approval
Council Approval Agreement Legal and Planning
previous Interlocal
Agreements
Amount Budgeted -0-
Expenditure Required -0- Account Number(s):
Budget Remaining -0-
Additional Required -0-
DETAILED SUN MARY STATEMENT:
The Everett City Council has previously approved Interlocal Cooperation Agreements with Snohomish
County for set aside HOME federal housing funds. The reason this agreement is coming before the City at
this time is the need to sign a new agreement to include the City of Marysville. The City of Marysville,
because of annexations,in now large enough to directly receive Community Development Block Grant
funds. Related to this eligibility, Snohomish County needs to have an agreement with Marysville to continue
to receive HOME funds related to Marysville's population as a part of the HOME distribution formula.
RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council):
Authorize the Mayor to sign the Snohomish County HOME Consortium Interlocal Cooperation Agreement
with Snohomish County and the City of Marysville for Program Years 2012 through 2014.
47
