1 <br /> 4. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The work includes three phases: <br /> Phase 1 —Confirmation of Concept, Infrastructure Assessment and Project Definition <br /> Phase 2—Detailed Design <br /> Phase 3—Construction Assistance <br /> Task 100— Project Management <br /> The purpose of this task is to provide oversight and management of the work for all phases of <br /> the work, including contract administration, oversight of subconsultants, quality review and <br /> assurance, and periodic communication with the City. <br /> Activities: <br /> Project Plan. The Consultant will prepare a Project Plan that will describe project background <br /> and purpose, include the project scope, schedule, budget,'and deliverable milestones, list <br /> relevant design standards, describe the project-specific QA/QC plan, and list team members, <br /> and project communication and administrative protocols.The Project Plan will be updated at the <br /> beginning of Phase 2. <br /> Project Administration.The following activities are included: <br /> • The Consultant will manage the project according to the Scope, Schedule, and Budget <br /> included in this Scope of Work and its Exhibits. <br /> • The project schedule will be prepared using MS Project and will identify significant tasks <br /> and anticipated durations, significant milestones, and agency reviews and approvals. <br /> • The Consultant will monitor the schedule and prepare updates monthly, as necessary. <br /> • The Consultant will prepare a monthly progress report to accompany each monthly <br /> invoice. Progress reports will include a narrative of work completed, schedule <br /> adherence, budget adherence, and anticipated work for the next period. <br /> • The Consultant will retain and manage subconsultants. Management will include <br /> preparation of subcontracts, review of progress, review of monthly invoices, review of <br /> subconsultant QA/QC procedures and results, and safety coordination. <br /> Action/Decision Loq. The Consultant will develop and maintain an Action Item Log and a <br /> Decision Log throughout the project. Meeting agendas will include review of action items and <br /> significant decisions. Meeting Notes will include a copy of the current logs. Action items will <br /> include action, responsible party, and resolution date.The Decision Log will be a record of all <br /> significant project decisions and it will be used throughout the project. Monthly progress reports <br /> will include a copy of the current Decision Log. <br /> Periodic Communication. The Consultant will maintain regular communication with the City's <br /> Project Manager in order to discuss and review information and issues that may affect the <br /> progress of the work. Communication may include telephonic, scheduled meetings, and/or <br /> digital communication.
