2.7 Card Verification Number(CVN). A randomly generated three-digit number used by the <br /> ORCA System. <br /> 2.8 Designated Representatives. The individuals representing the Participating Agencies and <br /> the Institutions who are listed in Attachment 1, which may be amended from time to time <br /> as provided in Section 5. <br /> 2.9 Electronic Serial Number(ESN). A unique number that is embedded in an electronic <br /> format in a smart card's microchip by the chip manufacturer. The ESN is not encrypted <br /> and is not used by or associated with the ORCA system. <br /> 2.10 Eligible Faculty and Staff. All regular and temporary faculty and staff of the University's <br /> Seattle, Bothell, and Tacoma Campuses and Harborview Medical Center and University <br /> affiliated staff and retirees, all as defined in the University's U-PASS Program Eligibility <br /> requirements, as may be amended by the University from time to time. Regular and <br /> temporary faculty and staff of the College are included as Eligible Faculty and Staff for <br /> standard ORCA Cards. <br /> 2.11 Eligible Students. All matriculated and non-matriculated students enrolled in credit <br /> courses at the University's Seattle, Bothell, and Tacoma Campuses and other students <br /> as defined in the University's U-PASS Program Eligibility requirements, as may be <br /> amended by the University from time to time. Students enrolled at the College are <br /> included as Eligible Students for standard ORCA Cards. <br /> 2.12 Lead Agency. King County when it is acting as the lead among the Participating <br /> Agencies in performing certain administrative functions under this Agreement. <br /> 2.13 Lead Institution. The University when it is acting as the lead among the Institutions in <br /> performing certain program and administrative functions under this Agreement. <br /> 2.14 Non-ORCA Elements. The elements of the ORCA UW Card, which are separate and <br /> independent of the ORCA Elements, that the University creates, prints, applies or uses <br /> for Non-ORCA purposes (e.g., the magnetic stripe used for Husky Card purposes; photo <br /> I.D.); but not the ESN. <br /> 2.15 ORCA. The trademarked name of the system that enables use of a common fare card <br /> ("One Regional Card for All") for the payment of public transportation services provided <br /> by the Participating Agencies. <br /> 2.16 ORCA Business Account Website. The ORCA website used by the University and the <br /> College to manage their respective accounts. <br /> 2.17 ORCA Cardholder(or"Cardholder'). An individual to whom the Institutions have <br /> distributed an ORCA Card. <br /> 2.18 ORCA Card. A card issued under the ORCA program that may be either a standard card <br /> or an ORCA UW Card, provided that the ORCA E-Purse product, however, shall not be <br /> available for either card type provided to the Institutions under this Agreement. <br /> 2.19 ORCA Elements. The applications, data and intellectual property related to the ORCA <br /> Services that reside in the ORCA Card's electronic microchip and associated circuitry, <br /> the CSN and CVN but not the ESN, and the ORCA logo and all graphics and text related <br /> to the ORCA Services that are printed on the ORCA Card. <br /> U-PASS Agreement 4 8 Page 3 of 44 Final, October 2011 <br />
