Before proceeding with the next design level of completion GeoEngineers will participate <br /> in one design review meeting following the 30 percent conceptual design submittal, and one design <br /> review meeting following the 90 percent draft final design submittal with the City and any additional <br /> attendees invited by the City. Bid specifications will be prepared in CSI standard format. This task also <br /> includes updating the Basis of Design report. <br /> Assumptions • <br /> is City staff will facilitate the design review meetings and invite any additional attendees as <br /> necessary. <br /> • GeoEngineers staff attending this meeting will include our project manager and principle in <br /> charge of the project. <br /> ■ City staff will provide input and comments, and schedule review meetings within 1 week of each <br /> design package submittal. <br /> ■ This SOS will be authorized by March 16, 2012 and topographic survey of the project area will be <br /> supplied by April 2,2012. <br /> a Design work does not include design of any retaining walls or unusual slope protection that might <br /> be required to avoid impacts to private project. <br /> Deliverables <br /> ■ A technical memorandum of a minimum of three (3) project alternatives will be prepared to <br /> facilitate selecting the preferred alternative. <br /> ■ 30 percent Conceptual Drawings,Draft Basis of Design Report,and cost estimate; <br /> ■ 90 percent Final Drawings, specifications, bid form, Final Basis of Design Report, and cost <br /> estimate; <br /> ■ 100 percent Final Drawings,specifications,bid form,and cost estimate by June 11,2012; <br /> ■ Two design review meetings with the City; and <br /> ■ The City will prepare "front-end" bid documents (instructions to bidders, bid forms, contracts, <br /> general conditions, prevailing wage information, etc.). The City will provide any City supplements <br /> or modifications to the CSI standard specifications. <br /> TASK 6- PERMITTING AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE SUPPORT <br /> GeoEngineers will provide limited assistance to the City with their preparation of permit applications and <br /> coordinating with regulatory agencies for permit issuance. We understand the majority of permit <br /> requirements have been met or will be addressed by the City. We have included an allowance of <br /> 24 hours staff time to assist the City is determining which permits are required and GEOENGINEERS <br /> assist with preparing <br /> and additional permit applications. <br /> The following permits may be needed for the project: <br /> ■ Federal Permits <br /> • United State Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) review under Section 404 of the Clean Water <br /> Act may be required if there are wetlands identified that will be filled as part of this project. <br /> File No.0661-086-02 37 <br />
