As part of this <br /> task GeoEngineers will: <br /> a Attend the pre-bid meeting with the City and be available to assist the City with questions or <br /> issues that arise during the public bid process, including support for City preparation of addenda. <br /> a Attend the pre-construction meeting. <br /> a Attend weekly on-site construction progress meetings (approximately 4 meetings) if requested by <br /> City Project Manager. <br /> ■ Provide office support to the City and GeoEngineers field observation staff. <br /> ■ Provide field construction observation for a total of 80 hours or 20 seperate visits. <br /> s Review contractor submittals. <br /> ■ Respond to up to 10 requests for information from the contractor if requested by City Project <br /> Manager. <br /> ■ Review the contractor's as-built survey for conformance to the design, and note any substantial <br /> deviations. <br /> Assumptions <br /> ■ The City will lead the bid process, copy all documents, host the pre-bid meeting, and issue <br /> addenda. <br /> ■ The Contractor will diligently pursue the work and work in a cooperative manner. GeoEngineers <br /> may require additional budget to support the City during construction in the following situations: <br /> • Working with a "difficult" contractor that does not diligently complete the work or files <br /> excessive paperwork. <br /> ■ The City will obtain land owner agreements and access to the stream channel for construction <br /> monitoring and construction access where private property must be crossed. <br /> ■ GeoEngineers staff will observe construction activities but not direct construction activities. <br /> a The City will provide overall construction management/administration. <br /> Deliverables <br /> ■ Meeting notes for 1 on-site pre-bid meeting with the City and interested contractors. <br /> ■ Meeting notes for 1 on-site pre-construction meeting with the City and contractor. <br /> ■ Meeting notes for up to 4 on-site construction progress meeting with the City and contractor. <br /> ■ Daily field reports and notes of construction progress (for days when GeoEngineers staff are <br /> on-site). <br /> TASK 8- PROJECT MANAGEMENT <br /> GeoEngineers will provide regular status updates to the City via e-mail or by phone. Updates will be <br /> provided to facilitate the tracking of progress and to communicate major findings as the data becomes <br /> available.
