' Little Red School House— Early Intervention <br /> This program provides early intervention services to infants and toddlers who are at risk of <br /> becoming developmentally delayed and of not being successful at school. Risk factors include <br /> homelessness, poverty, cultural isolation, and abuse and neglect. <br /> Recommended 2012 CDBG Fund: $4,500.00 <br /> 8. Advocates for the Rights of Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (ARC) <br /> Specialized Housing Program <br /> CDBG funds will be used to pay for staffing for this program. The program will provide help for <br /> people with developmental disabilities in three areas: 1) Location and retention of affordable <br /> housing; 2) Education and training and, 3) Alternative living support. <br /> Recommended 2012 CDBG Funding $12,150.00 <br /> 9. Mercy Housing Northwest <br /> Mercy Housing Northwest provides affordable rental housing and on-site supportive to low-income <br /> and homeless and homeless families at Family Tree Apartments, a 150 unit community in south <br /> Everett. <br /> Recommended 2012 CDBG Funding $3,250.00 <br /> 10. Volunteers of America — Life Skills Education Program <br /> This public service delivers a multi-faceted adult-based learning curriculum that focuses on the <br /> development of personal skills and competencies that support self-sufficiency for homeless and low- <br /> income individuals in the city of Everett. <br /> Recommended 2012 CDBG Funding $5,000.00 <br /> 11. Volunteers of America - Rental Housing Mediation Service <br /> This project provides neutral rental housing mediation to both owners and tenants of low income <br /> rental properties. <br /> Recommended 2012 CDBG Funding $10,900.00 <br /> 12. Snohomish County Legal Services - Housing Justice Program <br /> The Housing Justice program functions as a homeless prevention program by providing legal <br /> services to low-income tenants at eviction hearings. <br /> Recommended 2012 CDBG Funding $7,500.00 <br /> 13. Senior Services of Snohomish County - Housing Social Services <br /> 10 <br />
