Review existing documents and refine the level of effort required for the. field study.
Utilize existing documentation and studies where feasible.
2. Dispatch qualified wetland biologists to delineate wetlands located within the Study Area
according to methods described in the 1987 Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation
Manual, as updated in the 2010 Regional Supplement to the Corps of Engineers
Wetland Delineation Manual: Western Mountain Valleys and Coasts. Biologists will also
identify the Ordinary High Water Mark (OHWM) of any aquatic features within the study
area. Delineated wetland boundaries, data plot locations, and stream ordinary high
water marks will be surveyed and mapped by surveyor as outlined in Task 400. The
resulting data will be incorporated into project base maps. Identified wetlands shall be
categorized using the Washington State Wetland Rating System for Western
Washington -Revised (WDOE 14-06-029, as amended). Identified wetlands shall be
documented with appropriate data sheets.
3. The approximate boundary of wetlands and streams outside of the Study Area but within
250 feet of the study area will also be identified, but not formally delineated, in order to
identify potential project effects to buffers regulated by the City of Everett. HDR will use
aerial photographs and topographic data in addition to field observation to map wetland
boundaries beyond the Study Area. This information will be incorporated into project
base maps.
4. Prepare a Wetland and Stream Delineation Report to meet U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers (Corps) Searle District's report criteria. The report will include specific
information about soils, wetland hydrology, and plant communities, surveyed mapping of
the boundaries of wetlands and stream within the study area and data point locations,
and delineation and rating forms.
5. Perform independent quality control review of the deliverables.
Client Responsibilities
1. Provide proposed temporary and permanent limits of construction, which will define the
wetland and stream delineation study area.
2. Provide rights -of -entry prior to initiation of field efforts.
3. Provide existing wetland mapping and documentation of the methods used to establish
the limits.
V' -C4 CI -Sion S_ L!c- -e 0 2 Scope cr rices
