County's Culvert Replacement Project Impacts—The County is anticipating <br /> replacing the culvert adjacent to the lift station site in Silver Way, This project had the <br /> potential to impact the stations force main piping and access to the site during culvert <br /> construction. Elements of this subtask include: <br /> • Meeting with the City and County to review project and potential impacts. <br /> • Consider force main design elements that accommodate culvert installation. <br /> • Develop conceptual alternatives for force main alignments to accommodate culvert <br /> installation. <br /> • Consider timing and impacts to lift station construction active and provide <br /> modifications to the specifications to mitigate potential conflict and claims. <br /> Task 8—Construction Support <br /> This task replaces the Task 8, Construction Support, in the original scope of work in its <br /> entirety. The subtasks that follow reflect the current project and the level of involvement <br /> requested by the City for the MSA team during the construction of the lift station project. <br /> The City requested a level of support similar to the support provided by MSA on the City's <br /> Casino Tank project, completed in 2010. <br /> Based on the contract time of five hundred(500) calendar days to achieve substantial <br /> completion, the following element of construction support activities has been identified. <br /> MSA Responsibilities: <br /> 1. Conformed Construction Drawings -Prepare conformed construction drawings to <br /> indicate changes identified through addenda issued during the bidding process. <br /> 2. Meetings-Attend a pre-construction conference between City and construction <br /> contractor and invited agencies and utilities, MSA and subconsultants will be <br /> available to answer questions. It is anticipated that MSA will attend weekly project <br /> meetings twice a month, up to 36meetings on an as needed basis. <br /> 3. Submittals-Review construction submittals for conformance with project documents. <br /> It is anticipated that there will be approximately 140 technical and administrative <br /> submittals reviewed by MSA. <br /> It is anticipated that MSA will lead in managing and processing submittals that will <br /> include the set-up of systems and processes to communicate, share files, review <br /> documents and coordinate overall construction management services between the <br /> City and MSA, as well as the contractor.
