Site Access, Circulation, and Parking <br /> Vehicular Access, Circulation, and Parking <br /> The park site is bordered on the east side by East Marine View = `�' <br /> Drive, an arterial street with high traffic volumes. On and off a <br /> ramps to 1-5 are located off of E. Marine View Drive immedi- <br /> ately southeast of the park. The west side of the park is <br /> bounded by residential streets with relatively low traffic volume <br /> including: State Street and 18th Street to the southeast; Chest- <br /> nut Street and 17th Street to the northwest; and the alley to the <br /> west. Summit Avenue crosses through the southeast corner of 17th Street/Chestnut Street intersection at <br /> the park. Summit Avenue was not built within a designated northwest corner of park <br /> right-of-way and will remain park property where it crosses the <br /> southeast corner of the site. Walnut Street, one block to the #n u <br /> west, and 19th Street, one block to the south, are both arterial n t.;: k . <br /> streets. <br /> • �` fin. <br /> There are two parking lots on the site. Vehicular access to the ,y x ; <br /> lots is from 18th Street and Summit Avenue. Both access <br /> points are from local residential streets. The western parking <br /> lot provides 35 stalls and the eastern lot provides 76 stalls for <br /> a total of 111 stalls. Only one accessible stall is provided for <br /> the entire park site. The city recently constructed a permeable -- <br /> grass pavement driveway from the alley to the picnic shelter <br /> that borders the west side of the park. West parking lot and basketball court <br /> Several residential driveways encroach on the park property <br /> along the south property line. The city's Real Properties Divi- <br /> sion is addressing this issue with each of the property owners <br /> independently from this master planning process. <br /> Pedestrian / Non-Motorized Access and Circulation <br /> The Everett Shoreline Public Access Plan and the Everett Bi- <br /> cycle System Implementation Plan identify existing and future - <br /> non-motorized trails in the immediate vicinity of Senator Henry <br /> M. Jackson Park and along both sides of the Snohomish <br /> River. Existing designated bicycle routes are located along <br /> 19th Street, Summit Avenue, E. Marine View Drive, and East East edge of park and E. Marine View <br /> Grand Avenue. Summit Avenue has a bike lane on the north Drive <br /> side, and E.
