CITY OF EVERETT <br /> BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONERS MEETING <br /> March 8, 2011 <br /> 6:00 PM <br /> Spruce Hall <br /> The City of Everett Board of Park Commissioners held a regularly scheduled <br /> meeting on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 in Spruce Hall at Forest Park. <br /> Art Thomson called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM. <br /> Park Commissioners present: Art Thomson, Mary Jane Anderson, Erich Franz <br /> and Tina Hokanson. <br /> Excused: Dianne Riter, Richard Jordison and Patrick Franssen <br /> City Council Liaison Jeffrey Moore was excused. <br /> Park Staff Present: Paul Kaftanski, Lori Cummings, John Petersen, Cory <br /> Rettenmier, Mark Harrison and Sue Stimson. <br /> Adoption of Agenda: Erich motioned to adopt the agenda as submitted; <br /> seconded by Mary Jane Anderson. <br /> Acceptance of Minutes: Mary Jane motioned to accept the minutes of February <br /> 8, 2011 as submitted; seconded by Tina. Erich suggested a spelling correction. <br /> Member Reports <br /> Erich Franz—went to Hannabrook Park with grandson; filled several bags of <br /> trash, providing a positive experience for both. <br /> Tina Hokanson—took a cooking class—loved it and looks forward to more. <br /> Mary Jane Anderson—no report. <br /> Art Thomson—no report. <br /> Director Comments <br /> Paul updated the board on the upcoming Clark Park stakeholder group meetings. <br /> The purpose is to bring together those interested in the park to identify their <br /> vision and suggested activities that would help to make the park more of an <br /> asset. A report will be presented to the board at its May meeting. <br /> Erich suggested feedback be considered electronically. Paul explained that this <br /> group will be interactive and encouraged to communicate and listen to each <br /> other. Dialog in this group will encourage listening. <br />
