Vandal- <br /> resistant masonry is suggested as it is long lasting and less <br /> desirable for tagging. Darker colors will also minimize tagging. <br /> Durable standing seam metal roofing is suggested. Skylights <br /> provide natural day lighting to improve energy efficiency. Fix- <br /> tures are made with resilient materials, are low flow and auto- <br /> mated to conserve water. Wood truss detailing suggests north- <br /> west design. Further refinement of design details will occur <br /> during the subsequent design phase. <br /> Restrooms <br /> The master plan provides two restroom buildings. A 30 x 30 <br /> foot restroom serves the children's play and picnic area. A <br /> second 21 x 56 foot restroom serves the athletic fields. Both <br /> buildings consist of six individual, accessible, unisex stalls with <br /> a generous centralized utility chase. Restroom stalls have indi- <br /> vidual doors that open out and are oriented to face active ar- <br /> eas of the park to improve security. They are designed with <br /> automated lock systems. Door sensors indicate occupancy. <br /> Picnic Shelters <br /> Minor upgrades to the existing picnic shelter include lowering <br /> the western wall to counter height to increase visibility into the <br /> shelter, and replacing the small existing picnic tables with lar- <br /> ger tables.
