May 24, 2017 <br /> STREET CLOSURE — COURTYARD BY MARRIOTT GRAND OPENING <br /> Moved by Council Member Murphy, seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts, to authorize the closure of Colby Avenue, between Pacific <br /> Avenue and Wall Street on June 1, 2017, 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., for the <br /> Grand Opening Party, sponsored by the Courtyard by Marriott. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Members Franklin and Stonecipher who were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> President Tuohy stated that Action Item No. 17 had been pulled from the <br /> agenda and invited public comment under Citizen Comments. She also <br /> announced that City offices will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2017, in <br /> recognition of Memorial Day. <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> Debra Bryant, Administration, had no report. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comments. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> J. T. Dray, Everett, spoke about the upcoming Everett Transit study and <br /> the future of Everett Transit. He shared a copy of the Herald editorial <br /> entitled "Regional approach needed." <br /> Dorian Kostelyk, Everett, spoke about homelessness and encouraged <br /> local churches and businesses to become more involved in finding <br /> solutions to address homelessness. <br /> • <br /> 176 <br />
