May 24, 2017 <br /> Council Member Moore shared some of the activities currently taking <br /> place to engage Everett's faith-based community. <br /> Jackie Minchew, Everett, spoke about climate change and shared a <br /> passage from the book, "The Great Disruption." <br /> COUNCIL BRIEFING AGENDA: <br /> Casino Road Initiative <br /> Presented by Wendy McClure, Office of <br /> Neighborhoods; Maddy Metzger-Utt and Sarah <br /> Stewart, Community Foundation of Snohomish <br /> County <br /> Council Member Roberts stated the Planning Department recently <br /> compiled detailed demographics by ethnicity, socioeconomic status, <br /> diversity, and small elements of geography. Ms. Metzger-Utt stated she <br /> would be interested in receiving this information. <br /> City/YMCA of Snohomish County Potential Partnership Status <br /> Report <br /> Presented by Paul Kaftanski, Administration <br /> Council Member Moore expressed an interest in seeing a business model <br /> that reflects the public benefit. <br /> Council Member Roberts stated it would be helpful to see a matrix that <br /> shows what kind of services the City is getting for the dollars spent. <br /> Paul Kaftanski stated this work is currently underway, and Administration <br /> and the Parks Department will provide a report to Council when <br /> completed. He also stated further evaluation of agreements and <br /> performance of these agreements with other agencies will be done. <br /> Council Member Bader asked if the use of the Mariner High School pool <br /> should be considered as an available pool for our citizens to use. <br /> 177 <br />
