September 30, 2015 <br />Council Member Gipson spoke about the budget expansion for the Everett <br />Public Library, Evergreen Branch. He requested the inclusion of this topic <br />on the Budget and Finance Subcommittee meeting agenda and the <br />Council budget discussion. <br />Council Member Roberts concurred with the comments regarding the <br />Public Safety Subcommittee meeting. He presented to the Council of <br />Neighborhoods the Regional Transit expansion Sound Transit 3 (ST3) <br />process last Monday. Council Member Roberts announced his plans to <br />meet with the neighborhood groups in the first quarter of 2016. <br />Council Member Stonecipher reported on her attendance at "Making <br />Connections Part One: North and South Everett — What's the Difference?" <br />meeting at the Everett Public Library, Main Branch. She thanked the <br />Mayor and City staff for the street initiatives proposal. <br />Council Member Tuohy thanked everyone who participated at the Public <br />Safety Subcommittee meeting and reminded the public that the next <br />Public Safety Subcommittee meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, <br />October 7, 2015, at 5:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, with a focus <br />on the comprehensive review of the Everett Fire Department operation <br />presented by Fitch and Associates. <br />Vice President Murphy concurred with the comments regarding the Public <br />Safety Subcommittee meeting. He provided a recap on the first Budget <br />and Finance Subcommittee meeting, which took place on September 9, <br />2015. Vice President Murphy announced that the second Budget and <br />Finance Subcommittee meeting is scheduled for October 21, 2015, at 5:00 <br />p.m., in the City Council Chambers. Topics will include property tax <br />exemption and possibly, if approved by the Council, budget expansion for <br />the Everett Public Library, Evergreen Branch. Vice President Murphy also <br />reported on his attendance at the annual retreat for the Snohomish Health <br />District and his attendance at the Council of Neighborhoods meeting. <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br />Assistant City Attorney Hall had no comments. <br />293 <br />
