In addition, they were concerned <br /> about the road improvements (including pedestrian/bike <br /> improvements) on the property and the remainder of Smith <br /> Island. <br /> Conclusion: The security recommendations will be <br /> forwarded to the Parks Department and the Police <br /> Department will be involved with development of street <br /> improvement plans for Smith Island. <br /> 2. Fire: <br /> Finding: The Fire Department is concerned about water <br /> supplies in this area. <br /> Conclusion: Water service satisfying all Fire <br /> Department requirements must be provided. <br /> 3. Health District: <br /> Finding: The Health District has indicated that prior <br /> to construction complete plans and specifications must be <br /> submitted to and approved by the Snohomish Health <br /> District. Prior to use or occupancy, a permit must be <br /> obtained from the District. <br /> Conclusion: This shoreline permit will reflect this <br /> requirement. <br /> 4. Department of Ecology: <br /> Finding: The Department of Ecology indicates that a <br /> Water Quality Certification/Modification will oe <br /> necessary for this project. <br /> Conclusion: This will be a requirement of this permit. <br /> 5. Department of Game: <br /> Finding: The Game Department is concerned about the <br /> loss of access to this area as a result of the park <br /> placing a gate on Ross Avenue. <br /> Conclusion: The Parks Department has responded to the <br /> Game Department concerns - see attached letter. <br /> -4- <br />
