Question 7 <br /> Would the City of Everett consider a stay-in-place deck pan form system for the pedestrian <br /> walkways on the bridge? <br /> Answer—Yes, if galvanized. <br /> Question 8 <br /> What concerns does the City of Everett have with potential cracking of the concrete deck if it is <br /> placed while the truss is on the ground and then lifted into final position by the transporters? <br /> Answer—A cracked deck will not be accepted. <br /> Question 9 <br /> To give an accurate assessment of the architectural panels it is critical to determine the linear <br /> inches composing each panel. If we had access to a dxf file we could give you a true cost. <br /> Answer—The City does not give out CAD files during the bid. Last line on page S152 of the <br /> specifications states: "Pattern: Architect to provide digital file for perforations pattern to <br /> Contractor." This will be provided once the contract is executed. <br /> Question 10 <br /> Do you know if the steel bridge is to be shop painted or painted after bridge erection? <br /> Answer—This is determined by complying with the specifications and Contractor's sequence <br /> and means and methods for construction. <br /> Question 11 <br /> Reference S1.17. We assume that all U1 bearing material on this drawing is paid for under Bid <br /> Item A95. Please confirm. <br /> Answer—Confirmed. The Bearing shown on S.17 is to be paid for under bid item A95. <br /> Question 12 <br /> Will there be a Division 26 Specification Section issued for the Electrical work (Conduit, Wiring, <br /> Distribution Equipment, Interior Lighting, etc.) that is done inside of the Elevator Tower? <br /> Answer—No additional Division 26 Specifications will be provided. <br /> Question 13 <br /> General Note 4 on Sheets 192 through 194 Direct us to provide a bonding jumper for the Bridge <br /> Guardrail panels and tie them into the Bridge structural steel. It also refers us to Sheet A5.2. <br /> Detail 13/A5.2 is the only detail that shows a bonding jumper, and it states "space as required. <br /> Refer to electrical, typ."The only place that these bonding jumpers are mentioned is in the <br /> original General Note 4. Please provide details/specifications that will address how to bond, <br /> where to bond and what materials we are to use in order to provide the required bonding. <br /> Answer—Contractor shall determine/coordinate method of mechanical bonding of bridge <br /> guardrail panels with bridge mechanical or structural steel systems. The Engineer will review <br /> and approve. <br /> Question 14 <br /> Special Provisions 7-08.5. `Structure Excavation Class B Incl. Haul"states it includes"all <br /> temporary trench support systems". Bid Item A171 "Shoring or Extra Excavation Class B" has <br /> been established to cover this work.
