<br /> Payment for furnishing and installing R4 Regulator Vault will be made at the measured
<br /> percentage amount for the pay period times the lump sum amount bid. Said payment shall
<br /> be complete compensation for all labor, equipment, and materials, including hauling,
<br /> excavation, removal and disposal of waste material, furnishing, placing and compacting
<br /> foundation and bedding material, placing and compacting native backfill in all excavated
<br /> areas, regulator vault structure, weir plate and weir wall, installation, conduit and junction
<br /> box, appurtenances, connections to new combined sewers, cleaning, etc. required to
<br /> complete the Work in conformance with the Contract Documents. Select imported backfill
<br /> materials are included in other bid items.
<br /> Bid Item 19 - R39 Regulator Modifications
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum
<br /> Measurement for R39 regulator modifications shall be based on the percentage of total
<br /> Work complete, by dollar value, at the time of measurement.
<br /> Payment for R39 regulator modifications will be made at the measured percentage amount
<br /> ' for the pay period times the lump sum amount bid. Said payment shall be complete
<br /> compensation for all labor, equipment, materials, hauling, FRP molded grating, concrete
<br /> weir, slide gates, concrete, manhole rims and covers, manhole risers, any necessary
<br /> bypass pumping, appurtenances, cleaning, and cleanup, etc., required to complete R39
<br /> regulator modifications in conformance with the Contract Documents.
<br /> Bid Item 20 - Ductile Iron Pipe For Water Main, 8-Inch Diam.
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Linear Foot
<br /> Per linear foot pipe measurement shall be based on the slope distance from point to point.
<br /> The point of beginning or ending of measurement in any particular run of pipe shall be the
<br /> horizontal intersection of the centerline of the pipe measured with the centerline of the
<br /> intersection pipe, or with the beginning or ending of any new linear length of valves or
<br /> couplings contained within the measured length. At changes in pipe size connected by a
<br /> reducer, the point of measurement shall be taken as the midpoint of the reducer.
<br /> The unit contract price for Ductile Iron Pipe For Water Main, 6-Inch Diam., shall constitute
<br /> full compensation for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to furnish and
<br /> install the pipe, restrained joints (where shown on the Plans or as required by the Standard
<br /> Specifications and Special Provisions), and all fittings, including tees, crosses, reducers,
<br /> couplings, and sleeves required for complete installation along the run of each pipe size, as
<br /> shown on the Plans and specified herein, and additionally, shall include, but not be limited
<br /> to, the following:
<br /> 1. Removal of structures or obstructions not specifically covered under other Bid Items.
<br /> This shall include, but not be limited to, removal and disposal of thrust blocks,
<br /> miscellaneous landscaping, and sod as indicated on the Plans.
<br /> ' 2. All required potholing to verify locations of water service crossings and existing utilities.
<br /> 3. Utility or light pole protection in conformance with the requirements of the applicable
<br /> utility including, if necessary, arranging for the utility to protect poles and paying the
<br /> associated fees.
<br /> 4. Trench excavation and dewatering, installation of pipe, furnishing, placing and
<br /> compacting backfill for pipe bedding, furnishing, placing and compacting suitable
<br /> native material for trench backfill and placing and compacting imported backfill
<br /> material.
<br /> 5. Steel sheeting for covering open excavations left overnight to protect public from injury
<br /> and property damage.
<br /> 6. Maintenance, restoration and/or relocation, if required, of existing culverts, storm
<br /> drainage pipe, other utilities and structures affected by construction that are to remain.
