CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> 7. Temporary and permanent thrust blocking and dead man blocks, and temporary and II <br /> permanent restraint systems. <br /> 8. Pressure and purity testing of all water mains and shall include providing temporary <br /> blow-offs, backflow prevention, air gap apparatus, flushing, and disinfecting as <br /> necessary for testing in accordance with 7-09.3(24) of the Special Provisions. 111 <br /> 11. Extra depth, including excavation, backfill and compaction required to clear known <br /> buried utilities or other known obstacles. <br /> 12. Work required to avoid unexpected or unforeseen obstacles shall be paid for under the I <br /> Force Account item. The costs for potholing and excavation required to determine <br /> exact depths and locations of other utilities shall be included with this Work with no <br /> direct compensation made. I <br /> Bid Item 21 - Storm Drain Pipe, 12-Inch Diam. <br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Linear Foot <br /> Measurement for furnishing and installing storm drain pipe will be based on lineal footage <br /> measured horizontally along the invert of the installed pipe from center of catch <br /> basin/manhole to center of catch basin/manhole. <br /> The unit contract price for storm drain pipe shall constitute full compensation for all labor, <br /> materials, tools and equipment necessary to furnish and install the pipe and all fittings, <br /> required for complete installation along the run of each pipe size, as shown on the Plans <br /> and specified herein, and additionally, shall include, but not be limited to, the following: <br /> 1. Removal of structures or obstructions not specifically covered under other Bid Items. <br /> This shall include, but not be limited to, removal and disposal of thrust blocks, <br /> miscellaneous landscaping, and sod as indicated on the Plans. <br /> 2. All required potholing to verify locations of water service crossings and existing utilities. <br /> 3. Utility or light pole protection in conformance with the requirements of the applicable <br /> utility including, if necessary, arranging for the utility to protect poles and paying the <br /> associated fees. <br /> 4. Trench excavation and dewatering, installation of pipe, furnishing, placing and <br /> compacting backfill for pipe bedding, furnishing, placing and compacting suitable <br /> native material for trench backfill and placing and compacting imported backfill <br /> material. <br /> 5. Steel sheeting for covering open excavations left overnight to protect public from injury I <br /> and property damage. <br /> 6. Maintenance, restoration and/or relocation, if required, of existing culverts, storm <br /> drainage pipe, other utilities and structures affected by construction that are to remain. <br /> 7. Ethafoam pads or sand backfill between storm drain pipe and other pipes. <br /> 8. Testing of pipe in conformance with the contract documents. <br /> 9. Extra depth, including excavation, backfill and compaction required to clear known <br /> buried utilities or other known obstacles. <br /> 10. Work required to avoid unexpected or unforeseen obstacles shall be paid for under the <br /> Force Account item.
