ICITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> IMeasurement for furnishing and installing combined sewer pipe will be based on lineal <br /> footage measured horizontally along the invert of the installed pipe from center of manhole <br /> I to center of catch basin. Where pipe enters a vault, it shall be measured to the inside face <br /> of the vault wall. <br /> The unit contract price for Combined Sewer Pipe, _-Inch Diam. shall constitute full <br /> I compensation for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to furnish and install <br /> the pipe and all fittings, required for complete installation along the run of each pipe size, as <br /> shown on the Plans and specified herein, and additionally, shall include, but not be limited <br /> to, the following: <br /> I1. Removal of structures or obstructions not specifically covered under other Bid Items. <br /> This shall include, but not be limited to, removal and disposal of thrust blocks, <br /> miscellaneous landscaping, and sod as indicated on the Plans. <br /> I 2. All required potholing to verify locations of water service crossings and existing utilities. <br /> 3. Utility or light pole protection in conformance with the requirements of the applicable <br /> utility including, if necessary, arranging for the utility to protect poles and paying the <br /> I associated fees. <br /> 4. Trench excavation and dewatering, installation of pipe, furnishing, placing and <br /> compacting backfill for pipe bedding, furnishing, placing and compacting suitable <br /> I native material for trench backfill and placing and compacting imported backfill <br /> material. <br /> 5. Jointing dissimilar types of combined sewer pipe with a coupling or adaptor. <br /> I 6. Steel sheeting for covering open excavations left overnight to protect public from injury <br /> and property damage. <br /> 7. Maintenance, restoration and/or relocation, if required, of existing culverts, storm <br /> I drainage pipe, other utilities and structures affected by construction that are to remain. <br /> 8. Ethafoam pads or sand backfill between storm drain pipe and other pipes. <br /> 9. Testing of pipe in conformance with the contract documents. <br /> 10. Extra depth, including excavation, backfill and compaction required to clear known <br /> buried utilities or other known obstacles. <br /> 11. Work required to avoid unexpected or unforeseen obstacles shall be paid for under the <br /> Force Account item. The costs for pot-holing and excavation required to determine <br /> I exact depths and locations of other utilities shall be included with this Work with no <br /> direct compensation made. <br /> Bid Item 24- Temporary Sewer Flow Bypassing at R4 Site <br /> Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum <br /> Measurement for temporary sewer flow bypassing will be based on the percentage of total <br /> I Work complete, by dollar value, at the time of measurement. Any remainder will be paid <br /> when new combined sewer facilities are accepted by the City and all temporary sewer flow <br /> bypassing components are removed. <br /> I Payment for temporary sewer flow bypassing will be made at the measured percentage <br /> amount for the pay period times the lump sum amount bid. Said payment shall be <br /> complete compensation for a complete sewer flow bypassing plan, all labor, materials, <br /> I equipment, pumps, bypasses, etc. necessary to maintain the continual wastewater flow and <br /> to prevent wastewater discharge to the environment throughout the duration of constructing <br /> new or rehabilitating existing combined sewers within the Project in accordance with the <br /> I Contract Documents. <br /> Bid Item 25 - Temporary Sewer Flow Bypassing at R39 Site <br /> Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum <br /> I <br /> Sewer Regulators R4 and Division B—BID ITEM DESCRIPTIONS May 2017 <br /> I R39 Modifications <br /> WO No—UP3633 SP-11 <br />
