CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS I 7-04.4 Measurement 1 Delete the first paragraph of 7-04.4 and substitute the following: Bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be measured as I described in Division B — Bid Item Descriptions of these Special Provisions and Section 1-09 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT of the Standard Specifications. 7-04.5 Payment I Delete all paragraphs in 7-04.5 and substitute the following: Payment for bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be I as described in Division B — Bid Item Descriptions of these Special Provisions and Section 1-09 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT of the Standard Specifications. 7-05 MANHOLES, INLETS, AND CATCH BASINS I 7-05.1 Description Revise the first paragraph in 7-05.1 to read as follows: I This Work consists of constructing manholes, inlets, drywells, and catch basins and connecting to existing Structures of the types and sizes designated in accordance with the Plans, these Special Provisions, the Specifications, and the COE Standard I Drawings, in conformity with the lines and grades staked. 7-05.2 Materials Supplement 7-05.2 by adding the following at the end of the material list: I Mortar, nonshrink 9-20.3(2) Standard Specifications Commercial Concrete 6-02.3(2)B Standard Specifications Watertight Connection Boots 9-05.30 Special Provisions I Flexible Couplings 9-05.40 Special Provisions Polypropylene Manhole Steps 9-05.64 Special Provisions & Hand Holds Polypropylene Manhole Ladder 9-05.66 Special Provisions 7-05.3 Construction Requirements Supplement 7-05.3 by adding the following after the last sentence of the third paragraph: Install PAMREX, East Jordan Iron Works, or equal, hinged manhole frame and cover in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and applicable City standards and details. I Coordinate manhole cover and frame hinge location with manhole steps and traffic lanes. Hinge orientation to be determined during the shop drawing review of precast manhole structures. I Supplement 7-05.3 by adding the following to the end of the fourth paragraph: A field-formed channel and shelf shall not be installed in a manhole until after low pressure air testing has been successfully completed for all new connected pipes except where approved in advance by the City. Delete the tenth paragraph in 7-05.3. Revise the eleventh paragraph in 7-05.3 to read as follows: I Provide Kor-N-Seal, or equal, watertight flexible pipe to manhole connectors for pipes up to 48-inch diameter connecting to new sanitary sewer manholes. Place no pipe I joint in PVC or HDPE pipe within 10-feet of the outside face of the manhole. Revise the last sentence in the sixteenth paragraph in 7-05.3 to read as follows: Provide manholes, inlets, and catch basins that upon final acceptance of the Work I conforms to the following COE Standard Drawings requirements: Sewer Regulators R4 and Division 7—STORM, SEWER,WATER May 2017 R39 Modifications I WO No.—UP3633 SP-154
