ICITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS
<br /> IAlso included in this bid item shall be the cost of all equipment required to remove existing
<br /> soils to attain proper elevations, compaction of native subgrade soils, as well as to
<br /> uniformly spread and compact the crushed surfacing material.
<br /> IThe unit price for this bid item includes all costs for removing, loading and disposing of
<br /> displaced unsuitable material, including haul.
<br /> I Include in this bid item the cost of sprinkling during dry periods prior to placement of the
<br /> crushed surfacing and while spreading and compacting the material.
<br /> Payment for crushed surfacing base course will be by the ton of material placed and
<br /> I approved by the Inspector.
<br /> Bid Item 28 - HMA CL 1/2 PG 64-22
<br /> I Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Ton
<br /> Measurement for HMA, CL 1/2" PG 64-22 shall be by the ton, recorded on certified weight
<br /> tickets in accordance with 1-09.2 WEIGHING EQUIPMENT for HMA placed within the limits
<br /> I of dimensions defined in the Work or shown on the Plans, Standard Specifications, Section
<br /> 5-06 of these Special Provisions, or as otherwise approved by the Engineer. The
<br /> measurement and payment limits for measuring the width of this bid item shall not exceed
<br /> the saw-cut limits shown on the Drawings. No deduction will be made for the weight of
<br /> Iasphalt binder, blending sand, mineral filler, or other component of the mixture.
<br /> The unit price for this bid item shall include all labor, materials, equipment and related work
<br /> necessary to furnish, machine-place, compact, roll and perform density tests on multiple
<br /> Ilifts of HMA — CL 1/2" PG 64-22 pavement including streets, alleys, street crossings, and
<br /> driveway aprons as shown on the Plans.
<br /> Miscellaneous HMA used for pavement repair, thickened edges, extruded and wedge
<br /> Icurbing, placing and compacting pre-leveling, leveling and wearing courses, and feathering
<br /> pavement is included in this bid item with no direct compensation made.
<br /> I Furnishing and applying tack coat, prime coat, joint seal and crack sealing asphalt is to be
<br /> included in this bid item with no direct compensation made. All costs for "Anti Stripping
<br /> Additive" and "Compaction Adjustment" shall be included in the unit contract price per ton of
<br /> the HMA with no direct compensation made.
<br /> IThe unit price for this bid item shall include all labor, materials, equipment and related work
<br /> necessary to furnish, place, compact, roll and perform density tests on ATB placed in
<br /> accordance with the Plans, Standard Specifications, and these Special Provisions.
<br /> IBid Item 29 - Landscaping and Irrigation Restoration at R4 Site
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum
<br /> I Measurement for Landscaping and Irrigation Restoration at R4 Site will be based on the
<br /> percentage of total Work complete at the time of measurement.
<br /> Payment for furnishing and installing Landscaping and Irrigation Restoration at R4 Site will
<br /> I
<br /> be made at the measured percentage amount for the pay period times the lump sum
<br /> amount bid.
<br /> The lump sum Contract price for "Landscaping and Irrigation Restoration at R4 Site" shall
<br /> Ibe full pay for all costs necessary for weed control within the seeding or sodding area, to
<br /> prepare the area, plant or sod the lawn, erect barriers, establish lawn areas and for
<br /> furnishing all labor, and restore irrigation system at R4 site, tools, equipment, and materials,
<br /> I including layout, excavation, seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and watering during plant
<br /> establishment period, necessary to complete the Work in accordance with the Contract
<br /> Documents and shall be paid in the following sequence for healthy, vigorous lawn:
