Time of Submittals: <br /> 1. For equipment or component parts of equipment put into service during construction with <br /> Owner's permission, submit documents within ten days after acceptance. <br /> ' 2. Make other submittals within ten days after date of Substantial Completion, prior to final <br /> Application for Payment. <br /> 3. For items of Work for which acceptance is delayed beyond Substantial Completion, <br /> ' submit within ten days after acceptance, listing date of acceptance as beginning of <br /> warranty or bond period. <br /> PART 2 -PRODUCTS -Not Used <br /> ' PART 3 -EXECUTION <br /> 3.1 EXAMINATION <br /> ' A. Verify that existing Site conditions are acceptable for subsequent Work. Beginning new Work <br /> means acceptance of existing conditions. <br /> ' B. Examine and verify specific conditions described in individual Specification Sections. <br /> C. Verify existing Transmission Line No. 5 tie-ins are in correct locations. <br /> 1 <br /> 3.2 PREPARATION <br /> A. Coordinate a minimum of two weeks prior to shutting down Transmission Line 5 to make tie- <br /> ins with City Water Operations to allow for City to shut down and drain off the head from the <br /> Transmission Line 5 pipe. <br /> B. Ensure all subcontractors, materials, labor, and equipment is on-site prior to the Transmission <br /> Line 5 shutdown to allow smooth and seamless transition to begin the tie-in work. <br /> 3.3 EXECUTION <br /> ' A. Tie-ins: <br /> 1. City: <br /> a. City forces will shut down Transmission Line 5 and remove pressure head off the <br /> ' pipe to allow Contractor to finish draining the pipe completely in order to install <br /> both wye pipe segments. <br /> b. City will not allow Transmission Line 5 to be out of operation between May 15 <br /> and September 15 of any given year. <br /> 2.
