fi
4
•
o Additional field report review and geotechnical project management will be required for the remainder of
the project.
■ Electrical Engineering—Additional efforts and new work related to electrical engineering are described
below:
o Increased time and effort in responding to submittals:The submittals for Generator Enclosures and
generator control panels and the 3-way valve took three reviews to complete. The contractor had not
been responsive to our comments the first time around and it had taken more time than anticipated to
get the required equipment submitted.
o Increased level of effort required to respond to the contractor's RFI's/questions regarding where the
utility is located and the method of bringing it to the lift stations.
o New work to relocate the LS43 transformer, relocate conductors and redesign the transformer to serve
LS43 and the new load from LS21.
Task Order#14 activities are similar to Task Order#13,and include the activities listed below.
Task 1.0—Project Management,Coordination and QAIQC
This task provides for overall project management and coordination of the work within the construction support team.
This task also includes QAIQC of deliverables. This task is budgeted for 13 months(August 1,2015 through
• September 1,2016). Subtasks include:
1.1 Budget and schedule tracking, status report preparation, and invoicing.
1.2 Internal project strategy meetings to manage construction issues
1.3 Coordination with and management of subconsultants.
1.4 QA/QC of deliverables by independent and qualified reviewers.
Deliverables: •
■ Monthly invoices and status reports
Task 2.0—Construction Support
BHC will provide technical construction support including addressing contractor RFIs(as requested by the City),
reviewing teChniCE.I and O&",1 submittaisi reviewing Ting !ire contractor-prepared 0521i1 manual, supplsmentzl
O&M manual materials, addressing contract change initiatives, attending construction i ctiiyS and performing
site
visits, attending commissioning and startup, assisting in preparation of punch list, reviewing record drawings,
preparing CQA and construction completion reports. It is our understanding that the City will continue to provide day-
. to-day onsite construction management and site inspections;therefore,BHC has not included costs for full-time
construction observation.
Because the level of effort required for this task depends on factors outside of the Consultant's control such as
contractor competence and cooperation, schedule, and weather related impacts, the scope of work for this task is
limited to the level of effort included in the budget in Exhibit B. If this budget is not adequate for Construction
Support,BHC may request additional budget.
MacLeod Reckord,Rolluda Architects,FSi Consulting,Casne Engineering and HWA GeoSciences have included a
scope and budget for addressing requests for information(RFIs), reviewing product and O&M submittals, contract
change initiatives, performing site visits,start-up and commissioning, and assisting with other construction activities
as shown in the attached scopes of work and budgets. As previously mentioned, the landscape architect, MacLeod
• Reckord, will provide services through final completion of LS43 and LS33 to confirm the proper installation of the
permanent fencing,paving and landscaping.
z.
2 2„ EI Coni
_ ._
20 October 2015 Page 3 of i;;.:_u
