• <br /> 1 Section 7: Conflicting Provisions. <br /> 2 In the event there is a conflict between the provisions of this <br /> 3 ordinance and the provisions of the UBC or UFC, the more restrictive <br /> 4 provision shall apply. <br /> 5 Section 8: Required Maintenance. • <br /> 6 A. The automatic fire suppression system shall be serviced <br /> 7 annually. A copy of the annual inspection report, signed by the individual <br /> 8 who performed the annual inspection, shall be forwarded within five (5) <br /> 9 working days of the date of inspection to the Fire Department. All <br /> 10 automatic suppression systems and automatic detection systems shall be <br /> 11 maintained in accordance with the appropriate UBC, Uniform Fire Code <br /> 12 National Fire Protection Standards, and Washington State Building Code <br /> 13 Standards. <br /> 14 B. Any time the automatic fire suppression system and/or automatic <br /> 15 fire detection system becomes inoperative, the Fire Department shall be <br /> 16 notified immediately. Upon restoration of service of the system, the Fire <br /> 17 Department shall also be notified. <br /> 18 Section 9: General Regulations. <br /> 19 A. Permit Fee. No person, firm or corporation shall install , alter, <br /> 20 replace or perform major repair to any fire suppression or standpipe system <br /> 21 within the City without first obtaining a permit from the Building Division <br /> 22 of the City of Everett Public Works Department. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 1 • Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, no permit <br /> shall be required when the work performed is routine <br /> 25 maintenance which does not alter the accepted system design <br /> and when such work does not involve or require the <br /> 26 replacement of piping or associated controlling equipment. <br /> 27 2. Permit Fees. <br /> 28 a. Fire suppression system: <br /> 29 Permit Fee Schedule: <br /> System size <br /> 30 Less than 51 heads - Fee: $40 <br /> 51 through 100 heads - Fee: $40 plus .60 per <br /> 31 head in excess of 50 <br /> Over 100 heads - Fee: $70 plus .50 per head <br /> 32 in excess of 100 <br /> 5. <br />
