• <br /> g. Fire safety practices during construction must comply <br /> with Article 87 of the 1988 Uniform Fire Code. <br /> h. Portable fire protection must be provided as required <br /> by Uniform Fire Code 10-1 . <br /> i . Outdoor burning of construction debris is prohibited <br /> within the City of Everett. <br /> CONSTRUCTION IMPACTS <br /> a. Air Emissions: <br /> 1. City streets must be kept clear of dirt and <br /> debris at all times during construction. Dust <br /> suppression and street cleaning must occur as <br /> directed by the Public Works Inspector. <br /> 2. The contractors must comply with Article 8 of the <br /> Puget Sound Air Pollution Control Agency <br /> Regulation 1 , Section 802b, which regulates <br /> on-site burning of cleared vegetation. <br /> b. Noise: Contractors must comply with Ordinance <br /> 1556-89 which exempts noise from construction sites <br /> from meeting the requirements of the noise ordinance, <br /> except between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. <br /> on weekdays and 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. on Saturdays, <br /> Sundays and State recognized holidays if the <br /> receiving property is residentially zoned. <br /> c. Native Growth Protection Easements: Heavy equipment <br /> shall not be permitted in the Native Growth <br /> Protection Easement areas during construction of <br /> drainage improvements or recreational trails, unless <br /> necessary and approved by the Planning/Community <br /> Development Director and the Public Works Department. <br /> d. Excavation/Grading: <br /> 1 . Permits must be obtained for the sites of <br /> placement of all earth removed from the site. <br /> 2. Temporary erosion and sedimentation control <br /> measures consisting of siltation filter fences, <br /> sedimentation ponds, cut off ditches, and rock <br /> check dams or other approved methods must be used <br /> to provide temporary erosion control . A detailed <br /> temporary erosion and sedimentation control plan <br /> must be reviewed and approved by the Public Works <br /> Department prior to the issuance of any permits. <br /> 3 . Fill stockpiles shall be covered with plastic for I <br /> temporary erosion control and shall be located <br /> away from the top of the slopes. <br /> 4. The Applicant's soils engineer must make <br /> recommendations for slope stabilization for <br /> construction during wet weather. If grading <br /> occurs during periods of wet weather, these <br /> recommendations must be followed by the <br /> contractors. <br /> 5. Areas disturbed by construction activity which <br /> are not covered by permanent impervious surfaces <br /> shall be landscaped or reseeded at the earliest <br /> possible time, not to exceed 30 days after <br /> construction completion. All areas planted shall <br /> be maintained to insure germination or reseeding <br /> 18 <br />
