• <br /> 1 requesting licensee's equipment, business location, operation and personnel <br /> 2 take place. If the requesting licensee meets the requirements of this <br /> 3 ordinance for "Class A" licensees, such licensee shall be added to the <br /> 4 bottom of the list of qualified "Class A" licensees. The Chief of Police <br /> 5 shall provide each such licensee with a current list of the maximum fees to <br /> 6 be charged for towing services requested by the Everett Police Department or <br /> 7 its dispatcher. <br /> 8 Section 17: TOWING BUSINESS AUTHORIZED TO DO POLICE IMPOUNDS - <br /> ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND PROVISIONS. <br /> 9 <br /> A. In order to qualify for a "Class A" license, a towing business <br /> 10 <br /> licensee must comply with or satisfy the following additional requirements: <br /> 11 <br /> 12 1 . Tow trucks used in response to requests from the Everett <br /> Police Department shall have a minimum manufacturer's gross <br /> 13 vehicle weight of 10,000 pounds. Such vehicles shall also <br /> be equipped with dual tires on the rear axle, or duplex <br /> 14 type tires, sometimes referred to as super single, with a <br /> load rating that is comparable to the dual tire rating. A <br /> 15 "Class A" towing business must have at least two (2) such <br /> tow trucks. <br /> 16 <br /> 2. Each tow truck shall also be equipped as follows: <br /> 17 <br /> a. With all legal light requirements for trucks and/or <br /> 18 tow trucks and tow vehicles; <br /> 19 b. With all legal equipment and licensing requirements <br /> for trucks and/or tow trucks and the operation <br /> 20 thereof; <br /> 21 c. With dual booms having a minimum manufacturer's basic <br /> rating of six (6) tons, except, a single boom, with <br /> 22 dual cables, with a minimum manufacturer's basic <br /> rating of six (6) tons will also be acceptable; <br /> 23 <br /> d. With one hundred (100) feet of 3/8 inch continuous <br /> 24 length cable in working condition on each drum; <br /> 25 e. With a revolving or pulsating red light with 360 <br /> degree visibility. Such red light will not be used <br /> 26 when responding to a call , but only at the scene when <br /> necessary to warn approaching traffic of impending <br /> 27 danger; <br /> 28 f. With a broom and shovel ; <br /> 29 g. With a sling or other comparable device made of <br /> material designed to protect vehicles/motorcycles <br /> 30 while being towed; <br /> 31 h. With at least one (1 ) portable fire extinguisher <br /> having at least a 20-BC rating or when more than one <br /> 32 <br /> 10 <br />
