1 draw-bar or other connection of sufficient strength to hold the towed <br /> 2 vehicle on any grade where operated or under conditions of severe braking <br /> 3 and shall effectively eliminate whipping or weaving of the towed vehicle. <br /> 4 Booms shall be secured to prevent side swing. Tow trucks shall carry a <br /> 5 broom, shovel and one five-pound or two two-pound fire extinguishers rated <br /> 6 for gasoline fires. <br /> 7 Section 9: EMERGENCY LIGHTING. <br /> 8 Tow trucks shall comply with all legal lighting requirements, and in <br /> 9 addition, shall have mounted thereon a revolving red light capable of 360 <br /> 10 degrees visibility. The revolving red light shall be used only at accidents <br /> 11 or emergency or hazard scenes. Each tow truck shall carry string lights (a <br /> 12 portable tail lamp and stop lamp combination on a bracket with an extension <br /> 13 cord capable of being mounted on the rear of a towed vehicle) . <br /> 14 Section 10: INSPECTION REPORT - ISSUANCE OF LICENSE. <br /> 15 The Police Department shall furnish to the licensing official a written <br /> 16 report in connection with every application for a towing business license or <br /> 17 renewal thereof, certifying the result of inspection of the equipment of the <br /> 18 applicant business and shall certify whether the equipment of such business <br /> 19 does or does not meet the minimum requirements set forth in Sections 8 and <br /> 20 9. If all requirements of this chapter are met, the licensing official <br /> 21 shall issue a license to the applicant, upon payment of the required fee; <br /> 22 otherwise, the license application shall be rejected until there is <br /> 23 compliance with the provisions of this ordinance. <br /> 24 Section 11 : PLACE OF BUSINESS. <br /> 25 Any towing business which operates within the corporate limits of the <br /> 26 City shall maintain a secure building or other separate storage facility for <br /> 27 the purpose of securily storing towed vehicles within the corporate limits <br /> 28 of the City, and shall be in compliance with all applicable provisions of <br /> 29 the City 's zoning ordinances. <br /> 30 Section 12: INSPECTION. <br /> 31 Every licensee shall make available its records and equipment for <br /> 32 <br /> 7 <br />
