CITY OF EVERETT <br /> WATER FILTRATION PLANT CLEARWELL ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br /> SUPPLEMENTARY CONDITIONS TO THE DESIGN-BUILD CONTRACT <br /> ARTICLE 1. GENERAL <br /> 1.1 Location <br /> The East Clearwell building and Screen House Bridge are located on the Water Filtration Plant(WFP) <br /> property owned by the City of Everett at the following address: <br /> 6133 Lake Chaplain Rd <br /> Monroe, WA 98294 <br /> 1.2 Definitions <br /> Acceptable Roof System:The roof sheathing, roof support system, and connections to existing <br /> structural components employing acceptable materials for the East Clearwell roof as set forth in <br /> Table 4.2, all in accordance with the Contract Documents including without limitation the Owner's <br /> Project Criteria. <br /> Ancillary Features: Includes the following features for the East Clearwell roof: access hatches, access <br /> ladder and stairs, ventilation systems,fall protection system, baffle curtain replacement, and new <br /> washdown piping system. [NOTE TO PROPOSERS:ADDITIONAL FEATURES, IF ANY, NECESSITATED BY <br /> SELECTED COMPANY'S DESIGN SHALL BE ADDED HERE FOR FINAL DB CONTRACT]. <br /> Allowance Items: Includes three items priced as part of the Fixed Design-Build Price based on <br /> assumed quantities or condition: (1) East Clearwell crack repair, (2) concrete floor spalling repair and <br /> (3) refurbishing certain corroded items as further defined in these Supplementary Conditions. <br /> East Clearwell:The 140 foot by 268 foot structure used to store treated drinking water. <br /> Owner Furnished Pedestrian Bridge: Pedestrian bridge to be provided by the City for installation by <br /> the Design-Builder in accordance with City-provided conceptual design documents. <br /> Project:All Work included in the Design-Build Contract including as defined in the General Conditions <br /> and Supplementary Conditions. <br /> Record Drawings: Drawings required by Article 5, Section 5.11.4 of the Supplementary Conditions. <br /> Screen House Bridge:The bridge located northwest of the East Clearwell that currently provides <br /> access from an on-site access road (adjacent to Chaplain Reservoir)to the roof of the screening <br /> building. <br /> Utility Grade:A level of quality providing the highest degree of reliability, dependability, and durability <br /> available for use in municipal water infrastructure applications. <br /> City of Everett September 13,2017 <br /> Water Filtration Plant Clearwell Roof Replacement DB Project Supplementary Conditions Page 1 <br />
