,. 4 , 2. If any Site modifications or disturbances are required, Design-Builder shall notify the Owner's Representative prior to commencement of proposed activity for approval. Design-Builder may excavate bench in the hatched area shown in Figure 1 along the west side of the East Clearwell provided no heavy equipment or crane outriggers extend beyond the existing access road and provided all disturbed areas are fully restored to existing conditions or better. 3. Design-Builder shall post appropriate signage throughout each Site identifying construction areas. 4. Design-Builder's work shall not compromise existing security measures at the Site. Design- Builder shall not damage or disturb existing perimeter fencing and gates during construction. 5. Since construction access to the East Clearwell is from the east and south,the Design-Builder should be aware of existing light poles and power lines adjacent to the site. Design-Builder shall coordinate with the City if light pole relocation is required, and with Snohomish PUD if power lines relocation is required. 5.5 Temporary Facilities and Utilities Design-Builder shall meet the following requirements at the Project Site: 1. Supply all necessary temporary office and work space. 2. Supply temporary utilities during construction as follows: • Potable Water: The City will provide a back-flow preventer for connection to a fire hydrant. Design-Builder shall make the physical connection. • Power: City will provide an empty bucket in a MCC at no charge. Design-Builder shall provide a breaker, cable, etc. and installation at the Project Site as necessary to accomplish the work. • Sanitary:The Design-Builder shall provide portable restroom facilities as required to meet regulations for the number of workers on-site. • Communications: Cell phone reception at the WFP is poor, and should not be relied on.The City will provide one phone line at no charge. The Design-Builder will need to make provisions to accommodate that line.The City will not provide internet access.The Design-Builder will need to make other provisions for internet access. When dry work is required inside the East Clearwell, Design-Builder shall manage seepage from an existing slide gate at the north end of the clearwell. Flows are estimated at less than 5 gallons per minute.The City will make a nearby chemical drain available to Design-Builder for discharge of pumped seepage. 5.6 Non-interference with Ongoing Water Supply Operations The Project Site contains water supply facilities (pump station, pipes, standpipes, tanks etc.)that must remain operational throughout construction. These facilities operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to meeting the requirements of Article 5 of the Design-Build Contract, Design- Builder shall: 1. Conduct the work to avoid interference with and maintain the integrity of existing water infrastructure except as allowed under Article 5 of the Design-Build Contract. 2. Provide access to the site via main plant access road at all times. 3.
