To the extent that the Project necessitates the disturbance, handling or removal and disposal of ACA, <br /> Lead Based Paint(LBP), or other hazardous materials, Design-Builder shall contract with licensed <br /> lead contractors who employ Washington State Certified Hazardous Waste Workers to perform all <br /> such work. LBP and hazardous materials disposal records shall be submitted to the Owner's <br /> Representative. <br /> Refer to Attachment 8 of this RFP for data regarding lead in painted surfaces for the Screen House <br /> Bridge railing and the existing clearwell metal roof. <br /> Any paint and construction debris that falls from the East Clearwell roof or Screen House Bridge <br /> during demolition shall be cleaned up and stored at least daily in covered leak-proof containers. <br /> The East Clearwell roof beams are assumed to contain hazardous materials, and all existing paint is <br /> assumed to be LBP.The Contract Price includes proper demolition and disposal of these materials. <br /> ARTICLE 7.SITE RESTORATION AND CLEANUP <br /> Design-Builder shall: <br /> 1. Provide final cleaning of the Site. Clean, sweep, and wash all work provided under the Contract <br /> and existing facilities impacted by the work and remove all temporary structures and debris. <br /> 2. Fully restore disturbed areas including areas disturbed by demolition work so the areas are <br /> uniformly graded, level, and smoothly transition to match the ground elevations of adjacent <br /> areas. If needed import soil to achieve required grades. Provide proper compaction to avoid <br /> settlement over time. <br /> 3. Replace any disturbed landscaping in kind, and hydroseed areas disturbed during demolition <br /> with a seed mix appropriate for the area. <br /> ARTICLE 8. EAST CLEARWELL ROOF WATER-TIGHTNESS TESTING <br /> 8.1 Roof <br /> 8.1.1 Test Plan <br /> Design-Builder shall submit a Testing Plan to the Owner's Representative that sets forth detailed <br /> step-by-step descriptions of the procedures that will be used by the Design-Builder to demonstrate <br /> that the installed roof system is water tight.Test plan shall be submitted at least 30 days prior to <br /> initiating the tests.At a minimum,test plan shall address: <br /> • Methods for sealing vents prior to the test <br /> • Methods for applying water to the roof, including access hatches and connection points to <br /> the existing clearwell,to simulate intense precipitation conditions typical of the area (i.e. a <br /> 50-year event) <br /> • Characteristics of rainfall event to be simulated <br /> • Criteria for repair and re-testing <br /> • Notification of City and testing schedule <br /> City of Everett September 13,2017 <br /> Water Filtration Plant Clearwell Roof Replacement DB Project Supplementary Conditions Page 23 <br />
