RESPONSE: Energy compliance for lighting is included in the resubmittal. Notes to show compliance with mandatory requirements are included on sheet E2.0 and Compliance forms are shown on Sheet E4.0 2.Alterations which replace more than 50%of the luminaires have to comply with lighting controls, per WSEC C503.6. a. Please include a calculated lighting summary from the forms available on NEEC.NET to verify compliance for the interior lighting power allowances per WSEC table C405.2(1). RESPONSE: Calculated lighting summary and compliance forms are included on sheet E4.0. b. Please include actual code section language on the building drawings for interior lighting controls, sensors, and all other methods of compliance covered in electrical power and lighting systems per WSEC sections C405 and C503.6. Mandatory requirements for controls,switching and sensors are listed on sheet E2.0 3. Compliance with the building thermal envelope requirements should be shown in section and summarized on the drawings, per WSEC section C503.1. Please indicate the method of building envelope compliance by completing a total UA alternative worksheet, or provide a completed prescriptive worksheet to include detailed R-Values of new exterior walls, roof-ceiling details, slab on grade and foundation details, per WSEC section C402.1. RESPONSE: Per Section 503.: "Alterations to an existing building, building system or portion thereof shall conform to the provisions of this code as they relate to new construction without requiring the unaltered portions of the existing building or building system to comply with this code. No alterations to the building envelope are proposed in this submittal and compliance of the unaltered portions is not required. a. Please indicate the U values of all new fenestration to meet energy code requirements,to include man doors and windows, per WSEC C402.1.4 and C402.4. RESPONSE: N/A, no new doors or windows. 4.
