Energy <br /> 1. Please summarize energy compliance for this submittal and deferred submittals using <br /> the checklist in WSEC C103.2. <br /> 2. Please identify a change in space conditioning for the first floor or basement, and <br /> specifically if it will be semi-heated or heated. <br /> 3. Please include a calculated lighting summary from the forms available on NEEC.NET to <br /> verify compliance for the interior lighting power allowances per WSEC table C405.2 (1). <br /> a. Where more than 50% of the lighting fixtures are added or replaced in any <br /> room, please include actual code section language on the building drawings for <br /> interior lighting controls, sensors, and all other methods of compliance covered <br /> in electrical power and lighting systems per WSEC sections C405 and C503.6. <br /> 4. Alternate compliance with the building thermal envelope requirements should be shown <br /> in section for removed drywall, per WSEC section C503.1. Please indicate the method of <br /> building envelope compliance by completing a total UA alternative worksheet, or provide <br /> a completed prescriptive worksheet to include detailed R-Values of modified exterior <br /> walls, roof-ceiling cavities, or replacement roofing, per WSEC section C402.1. These <br /> forms are available on neec.net. <br /> Mechanical <br /> 1. Please include a mechanical summary for energy code compliance using the neec.net <br /> forms. <br /> 2. A Type I hood should be shown above the range, per IMC section 507.2, as amended by <br /> the State of Washington. <br /> 5. A Type II hood should be shown above the dishwasher, per IMC section 507.3. <br /> 6. The drawings should indicate how the ventilation and heating will occur by the use of <br /> floor openings or other methods, per IMC sections 403.1 and 403.3.1.1. <br /> 7. Please indicate the current mechanical system locations and cfm for offices, toilet rooms, <br /> warehouse per IMC Table 403.3.1.1, referencing requirements for Food and Beverage <br /> Service and requirements for Public Spaces Public Toilet rooms. <br /> 8. A commercial kitchen plumbing permit application is required. <br /> All codes cited refer to the 2015 International Building Code (IBC), the 2015 International <br /> Existing Building Code (IEBC), the 2015 International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC), the <br /> 2015 International Fire Code (IFC), the 2015 International Mechanical Code (IMC), and the <br /> 2015 Washington State Energy Code (WSEC), as amended by the State of Washington and <br /> adopted by the City of Everett. The current IBC referenced standard for accessible design is <br /> the 2009 "Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities" (ICC/ANSI A117.1). Federal ADA <br /> regulations and standards may be more restrictive. Compliance with these regulations is the <br /> responsibility of the tenant and owner of the building.
