He or she intentionally does any act that he or she knows or should reasonably know will interfere with or obstruct a person 2 known to be or who should reasonably be known to be a Park Ranger and while such Park Ranger is performing his or her official 3 duties. 4 Section 3: Refusal to Give Information to Park Ranger. 5 Any person requested to identify himself or herself to a Park Ranger 6 pursuant to an investigation of a Park Code violation has a duty to identify 7 himself or herself and give his or her current address. 8 Section 4: Codification. 9 Sections 1 , 2 and 3 of this ordinance shall be codified as three 10 additional new Sections in EMC Chapter 9.06. 11 Section 5: Section 24 of Ordinance No. 994-83 (EMC 46.28.240) , which 12 reads as follows: 13 Enforcement of parking regulations. 14 A. The parking regulations set forth in this chapter shall be 15 enforced by the City's police officers and the City's parking enforcement officers. However, it shall be the 16 primary responsibility of the parking enforcement officers to enforce this chapter, as well as any other parking 17 regulations adopted by the City. Parking enforcement officers shall be employees of the City under the direction 18 of the City's police department. 19 B. Failure to perform any act required or the performance of any act prohibited by this chapter is designated as a 20 parking violation and shall not constitute an infraction or a criminal offense, unless otherwise indicated in this 21 chapter. 22 C. City police officers and City parking enforcement officers have the authority to issue a notice of parking violation 23 when the parking violation is committed in the officer's presence. 24 D. If any vehicle is found parked, standing or stopped in 25 violation of this chapter or otherwise violates the provisions of this chapter, the officer finding the vehicle 26 shall take its license number and may take any other information displayed on the vehicle which may identify its 27 user, and shall conspicuously affix to the vehicle a notice of parking violation. A notice of parking violation 28 represents a determination that a parking violation has been committed. The determination will be final unless 29 contested as provided in this chapter. 30 E. The police officers and parking enforcement officers in charge of the enforcement of the parking regulations of the 31 City shall , and are authorized to, mark such vehicles parked, standing or stopped from time to time to aid in the 32 2
