He or she intentionally does any act that he or she knows or <br /> should reasonably know will interfere with or obstruct a person <br /> 2 known to be or who should reasonably be known to be a Park Ranger <br /> and while such Park Ranger is performing his or her official <br /> 3 duties. <br /> 4 Section 3: Refusal to Give Information to Park Ranger. <br /> 5 Any person requested to identify himself or herself to a Park Ranger <br /> 6 pursuant to an investigation of a Park Code violation has a duty to identify <br /> 7 himself or herself and give his or her current address. <br /> 8 Section 4: Codification. <br /> 9 Sections 1 , 2 and 3 of this ordinance shall be codified as three <br /> 10 additional new Sections in EMC Chapter 9.06. <br /> 11 Section 5: Section 24 of Ordinance No. 994-83 (EMC 46.28.240) , which <br /> 12 reads as follows: <br /> 13 <br /> Enforcement of parking regulations. <br /> 14 <br /> A. The parking regulations set forth in this chapter shall be <br /> 15 enforced by the City's police officers and the City's <br /> parking enforcement officers. However, it shall be the <br /> 16 primary responsibility of the parking enforcement officers <br /> to enforce this chapter, as well as any other parking <br /> 17 regulations adopted by the City. Parking enforcement <br /> officers shall be employees of the City under the direction <br /> 18 of the City's police department. <br /> 19 B. Failure to perform any act required or the performance of <br /> any act prohibited by this chapter is designated as a <br /> 20 parking violation and shall not constitute an infraction or <br /> a criminal offense, unless otherwise indicated in this <br /> 21 chapter. <br /> 22 C. City police officers and City parking enforcement officers <br /> have the authority to issue a notice of parking violation <br /> 23 when the parking violation is committed in the officer's <br /> presence. <br /> 24 <br /> D. If any vehicle is found parked, standing or stopped in <br /> 25 violation of this chapter or otherwise violates the <br /> provisions of this chapter, the officer finding the vehicle <br /> 26 shall take its license number and may take any other <br /> information displayed on the vehicle which may identify its <br /> 27 user, and shall conspicuously affix to the vehicle a notice <br /> of parking violation. A notice of parking violation <br /> 28 represents a determination that a parking violation has <br /> been committed. The determination will be final unless <br /> 29 contested as provided in this chapter. <br /> 30 E. The police officers and parking enforcement officers in <br /> charge of the enforcement of the parking regulations of the <br /> 31 City shall , and are authorized to, mark such vehicles <br /> parked, standing or stopped from time to time to aid in the <br /> 32 <br /> 2 <br />
