• <br /> • <br /> 1 to hire any vehicle herein defined with intent to defraud the person from <br /> 2 whom it is hired of the value of such service. <br /> 3 Section 27: CALL RECORD REQUIRED <br /> 4 It is unlawful for any person owning or operating any taxicab or <br /> 5 for-hire vehicle to fail to keep an accurate daily record on a trip sheet, <br /> 6 the form and size to be determined and approved by the Chief of Police. All <br /> 7 daily trip sheets shall be kept on file for a period of two years at the <br /> 8 address for which the vehicle for-hire license is issued. All daily trip <br /> 9 sheets shall be open for inspection by the Chief of Police either while <br /> 10 carried in the vehicle for hire or at the address of the licensee. It is <br /> 11 unlawful for any taxicab or for-hire driver to fail or refuse to turn in his <br /> 12 trip sheet or monies collected from taxi-trip fares to his employer or his <br /> 13 duly authorized agent at the end of each shift worked. The following <br /> 14 information shall be contained on each trip sheet: <br /> 15 A. The driver's name as licensed and for-hire driver's license number; <br /> 16 B. The driver's residence address and/or telephone number; <br /> 17 C. The company name and vehicle number; <br /> 18 D. The date, time and place of origin and dismissal of each trip; <br /> 19 E. The fare collected or to be charged; <br /> 20 F. The number of passengers paying or not paying and any other items for <br /> which a charge was or was not made; <br /> 21 <br /> G. The beginning and ending speedometer mileage of the vehicle for each <br /> 22 shift worked; <br /> 23 H. The beginning and ending time for each shift worked; <br /> 24 I. The beginning and ending meter readings for each shift worked; and <br /> 25 J. If the trip is made pursuant to a contract the trip sheet shall also <br /> show the fare as indicated by the meter and an identificaiton of the <br /> 26 contract under which the transportation is provided. <br /> 27 Section 28: DRIVERS TO TAKE MOST DIRECT ROUTE <br /> 28 It is unlawful for any driver of a taxicab employed to carry passengers <br /> 29 to a definite point to carry any passenger to a destination by a route that <br /> 30 is not the safest and most direct, unless the customer specifically <br /> 31 authorizes the deviation or alternate route. <br /> 32 <br /> 18 <br />
