Plan review will resume when the requested information is submitted: two sets of re�ised architectura/drawings and structura/calculations for the fire escape, with a response letter indicating how corrections are resolved on the plan set from the Architect and the Professional Engineer. In addition to comments on the third corrections letter referenced above, please provide the resulting details to verify that the fire escape meets the 100 psf load required for an exit, per retroactive requirements of the IFC section 1104.16.5. 1. The drawings and calculations should indicate the exit live load requirements referenced above. 2. The ladder termination will be accepted by the Fire Department, if the ladder extends to the surface of the alley, per IFC section 1104.16.6. 3. The drawings should indicate new construction for the fire escape structural frame, guards, handrails and the exit ladder. a. Typically this is communicated with heavier line weights.
