An email from Geri Harshman, presented at the <br /> ' hearing (exhibit 18), set forth opposition to the SPU. Ms. Harshmar� stated that <br /> she was not in agreement with the proposal because further north on 7i" Avenue <br /> t�ere is already a school and churchlschool. She also contended that the traffic � <br /> on 7ih Avenue is "taxed to the limit" in part from the students and cangregation at <br /> the other churchlschool. She contended that the signal on 7th Avenue and <br /> Everett Mail Way wauld nat be able to handle additional traffic from the proposed <br /> school. She aiso contended that the noise levei would increase in the family <br /> oriented neighborhood. (exhi6it 18, enaait from Ms. I-�arshman) <br /> Spe�ific Evaluation Criteria — EMC 't9.41.150.Q.2.a <br /> 22. ln addition to the General Evaluation criteria, the Appiicant's request must also <br /> be reviewed pursuant to Specific Evaluation criteria as set forth in EMC <br /> 19.41.�50.D.2.a. These are Specific EvaluatiQr� criteria for public/private and <br /> elementary/secondary schools. The fflllowing special evaluation criteria appiy to <br /> the proposed project <br /> • School SAecific Criterion No. 2: Elementary and middle schools may be <br /> located on local or arteria( streets. High schooEs shall be located adjacent to or <br /> within four hundred feet of collector or arterial streets. <br /> • Schoal 5pecific Criterion No. 3: Structures shall be located a minimum of <br /> twenty-five feet from adjacent residentially zoned properties.
