January 3, 2018 <br /> Council Member Murphy stated it has been an honor to serve the city over <br /> the last five years on the Council and looks forward to the next four years. <br /> He congratulated Mayor Franklin and thanked President Tuohy for her <br /> work this past year. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher congratulated her Council colleagues for <br /> their re-election efforts. She also congratulated Mayor Franklin. <br /> Council Member Roberts congratulated Mayor Franklin and Council <br /> Members Moore and Murphy for their victories. He also thanked President <br /> Tuohy for her work this past year. Council Member Roberts stated he <br /> would be distributing a districts resolution in draft form to council members <br /> this evening in preparation for discussion at the Council meeting next <br /> week. <br /> President Tuohy congratulated Mayor Franklin and Council Members <br /> Roberts, Moore, and Murphy. <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> Paul Kaftanski, Administration, provided an update on the potential <br /> partnership agreement with YMCA of Snohomish County. He announced <br /> that a second public meeting will be held at the next Parks Board meeting <br /> scheduled for January 9, 2018, 7 p.m., at Spruce Hall at Forest Park. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comments. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Jackie Minchew, Everett, spoke about the omission of climate change on <br /> the list of legislative priorities. He announced that 350 Seattle, alongside <br /> other 350 chapters, will hold an event in Olympia on the first day of the <br /> legislative session on Monday, January 8. <br /> 3 <br />
