Access -The International Fire Code requires that all new structures shall provide Firc Department access roads to within 150 feet exterior walking distance of all portions of the ground floor. Inside turn radii must be 35 feet. Outside turn radii must be 55 feet. Slope approach and departure angles must not exceed 8 degrees. Fire lane grade must not exceed 10 percent. Fire lane construction must comply with AASHTO H30 load capacity (74,0�00 GVW). Fire Lanes will be posted anci maintained as required by the Fire Department. Unorthodox access which meets code requirements but is too unusual for crews will not be allowed. 2. Buildings greater than 30 feet high require ladder appaxatus access in accordance with the 2012 International Fire Code, Appendix D, D 1 O5. The unobstructed width of the access in the immediate vicinity of the building shall be 26 feet. At least one of the required access routes shall be located within a ininimum of 15 feet and a maximum of 30 feet from the building and shall be positioned parallel to one entire side of the building. 3. Fire lanes shall be identified by red curbs with white stenciling stating "NO PARKING- FIRE LANE" and vertical signs stating "NO PARKING—FIRE LANE—TOW AWAY TONE—�MC 46.28.130". Location shall be approved by the F'ire Code Official. 7. Premise Identification- Premises shall be clearly identified by the correct address at the street entry.
